I do not know if anyone here is aware of this (and I am not sure how I discovered the first one...) but Cabot Cheese is sponsoring a virtual race to Vermont, leaving from Las Vegas. It starts today, November 2nd, and you can sign up here http://www.cabotcheese.coop/vegas_to_vermont/. This is a follow up to one they did over the summer, which went from Vermont to Las Vegas. I was a part of that and completed it on the next to last day. It is another way to stay motivated and keep track of your miles. Actually, all they keep track of is time, but they translate it to distance and track you on a map. The only requirement is that you be over 50, so I am not sure how many here this will apply to.
