Virtual Queues at WDW

Been reading up on virtual queues such as for Gideon's at Disney Springs. Seems they depend on texting, how does this work for Canadians? In the past I have had trouble getting them to use my Canadian number.

Hey all,

I'm taking an old phone and buying a $20.00 prepaid Sim Card to put in it. It has unlimited talk, text and data. My BFF already picked it up for me when she was in the USA last month. All I have to do is activate it once I get there. It is good for 30 days so if I test positive for Covid and have to quarantine I will have a working phone the whole time.
