I've been trying to search the answer to this and can't find it. Just wondering if the virtual portholes have a schedule that they follow when the characters appear, how often, etc. Using a room like this for the first time....curious.

I will be in one of the virtual portal room for the first time just a few weeks from now. From what I've read, there's no set schedule for character appearances but they happen around every 20 minutes.

Not as far as I could tell, and if it happens every 20 minutes then we were experts at just missing it. And who wants to sit and stare at a "TV" for 20 minutes with nothing happening on it? I think we caught 2 things going by on our 4 night cruise.

It seemed to happen at the top and half of the hour on our cruise on the Dream in 2012. It was definetly consistent. So if it's different on your ship just pay attention to the clock when you see them and the intervals should stay the same the entire trip.
