Virtual Membership Card for spouse

Thanks. I don't see that so maybe I didn't do it right. When I go to Magic Mobile, I see my Pass with my first name and last initial and the Member with the pic of a suitcase. It's in my Google wallet but I don't see any DVC letters (and I should have the Y since we have 150 pts direct). I don't have an iphone.
To see the DVC-Y, you need to flip the card over in Google Wallet. Once you've selected the card, there should be an icon or something (not sure exactly as i have an iPhone) to the top right. If you touch that, you should see the card details.

I appreciate your help. I see it now when I go to my wallet and click on the card and then Details. It shows that I am the Ticket Holder and my affiliations are DVC Y/ANNUAL. It doesn't look like a card or the reverse side, so maybe I'm still not in the right place to view my DVC membership. :(

The design does not matter. It’s the detials that show DVC Y. Thst is what you show!

Thanks Sandi and Michael!
Add me to the list that thinks it's ridiculous that showing the blue card is no longer an option and people like DH can't get their discounts because they don't have a smart phone (unless he is with me). Really absurd.

At a certain point we have to be willing to move forward with technology, and sadly some will be left behind but that has always been the case with new technology.

Well, I understand what you are saying but to not accept showing your membership card seems wrong. People still have photo IDs, insurance cards, credit cards, etc. There should still be that option, imo.

I understand your point of view for sure. I really don't know how many people flashed a fake or borrowed ID card to get 10% off at Wetzel's Pretzels or whatever, but maybe that was a big enough concern for DVC to go in this direction. Or maybe Disney as a whole wanted to move 100% to digital media, and they decided to start with a smaller sample size by starting with DVC. My guess is the reason this is happening is the latter.

Because, like just about everything else these days, people abused the system. People would sell their points, but still use the card for discounts, or would give the card to other people to use. Yes, a picture ID would verify the name on the card, but there was no way to verify if that person was currently eligible for discounts.

I actually don't have paper or plastic cards for insurance anymore (Kaiser, Geico), and I haven't been sent any from either insurer in years (I assume I can still ask for one). None of the airline or hotel loyalty programs or other affinity programs provide physical cards anymore either.

Seems the biggest were on signature dining meals and merchandise. People would crow about getting several hundred dollars in savings on a trip (obviously take that with an entire block of salt).

I do agree regarding the digital media aspect. People complain about having to pull out their phone, and punch a couple of buttons, but it doesn't seem any more difficult than pulling out your wallet, fishing out 3 cards (CC, DVC card and ID), then putting it all back when you're done. I personally prefer my wallet to stay in my pocket. There's a lot more in there that I'd rather not have fall out in the middle of a theme park. The phone is a locked brick if I lose it.

I despised using my Wallet app in the masking era, but now that masks are gone I do really enjoy the convenience. Yes, opening up my billfold in public is a risk that just isn't necessary. I look forward to the day when billfolds are sold only in antique stores, like buggy whips.
