Play the role of an imagineer. Let's come up with a feasible plan for Magic Kingdom that would take the park where the idealists on this board would have it go. Let's hear it!

Start with total Fantasyland redo (which is being talked about) at Disneyland, they totally redid Fantasyland back in the 80s and it was amazing. I consider Fantasyland DL to be charming, while I consider Fantasyland WDW to be garish. I would definately beef up the number of attractions (take a look at the attraction list for DL Fantasyland vs WDW Fantasyland - there is tons more in California). I consider Fantasyland to be the heart & soul of the MK, that's definately where I would start.

For Tomorrowland:

Replace the Tomorrowland Speedway with something a little less obnoxious! (I'm not sure what that would be...maybe a 'Cars' themed indoor attraction)

Bring back Alien Encounter (I know there are many that disagree...but I really liked that attraction)

A total overhaul of Carousel of Progress...It would be great if they could update it so that there isn't such a huge jump in time for the final scene, while keeping with the unique character of the original attraction.

First off I would get rid of the long strip mall along Main Street and turn it back into individual stores that sell items specific to their name and theme. Fantasyland really needs a refurbishment as does Tomorrowland, but I think I would redo Mickey's Toontown Fair first. I hate the carnival type tents and how confining it feels in that area. I am not sure if there is room to expand it too make you feel less crowded, but I would like to give it more of a feeling like that of Disneyland's Toontown ( I have never been to DL so I am just judging on pictures I have seen).

Adult beverages......(jk, at least for those who don't agree with me :))

I agree with you - in the restaurants especially. Dinner at Tony's is pure torture without a glass of red wine to go with it!

And I agree with the person that said re-do the Indy speedway. At least make them into regular go karts. Or make them look like the "Cars" cars. Or make them electric so you don't choke from fumes waiting on line. Something...anything to get them out of the 1970's.

Don't need the alcohol to get through the day, but it would be nice to simply E-X-P-A-N-d the park. It is always, and I do mean ALWAYS bumper to bumper bodies. They have the room.
I also agree with getting rid of the speedway. Too much noise, polution, and vast use of expensive gas. Which in turn, is passed on to us in the form of higher ticket prices.

First off, blow up Stitch's Great Escape. I hate that ride. Maybe a Wall-E themed attraction? I just don't think Disney would bring back Alien Encounter. Second, if they don't bring this to DHS, give Adventureland an E-ticket attraction with the Indiana Jones Adventure like the one at DLR.

1. Tear down Swiss Family Robinson and replace it with a ride
2. Demolish the Speedway and replace it with a Cars themed attraction or at least get rid of the smog and noxious gasoline powered cars
3. Bring back or introduce the Alice in Wonderland ride that Disneyland has
4. While I love Carousel, it does need to be updated, but let's remember that this is one of the few attractions left that Walt Disney personally had his hands on.

As a senior citizen, I think there are not enough rides for small children. Dark rides are too scary; roller coasters are too scary. This is supposed to be The Happiest Place on Earth, not a place to scare young children.

Let's take it from entrance to exit...

- yes, Main St USA's "strip mall" does indeed need to be replaced with what it used to be....especially the theater!

- Tony's needs to serve wine, and needs to serve BREAKFAST again...their cinnamon rolls used to be pure heaven!

- Stitch...meh, I can take it or leave it. But something new and original would be nice.

- Update COP, but give huge nods to Walt, and make sure his influence remains present.

- Make Space Mountain like the one in DL

- Replace Indy Speedway with ....well, ANYTHING else, imho...

- I'd like to see something else interesting in the Toontown Fair...dunno what, tho

- RIP OUT ARIEL'S GROTTO and put something else where 20000leagues USED to be....

- remove all the graffiti that I see in Splash Mountain!

- update Country Bear Jamboree, but keep the old songs and feel

- REVERSE UPDATE the Tiki Room...I hate the "under new management" thing.

- Expand Jungle cruise, with more jokes, fun, and tie-ins with AC (...sigh...don't get me started on AC right now..)

That's my 2 cents.....

1. Do something with the old 20,000 Leagues space, the snow white mine coaster and mermaid dark ride would be excellent choices

2. redo the Speedway. Perhaps a Cars theme with the entrance being in ToonTown instead of Tomorrowland.

3. Replace the Treehouse with something, perhaps an Alladin attraction or a Black Pearl replica

I think Tommorrowland needs a major update. It's more like Todayland. Nothing really (outside of Space Mountain) that plays towards the future.

-- Eliminate the Indy Speedway. This would make things "greener" because all us guests wouldn't have to gag as we walk by enhaling the fumes.

I also think Fantasyland needs an update. Maybe expand Fantasyland out past Ariel's Grotto. Create a new ride to draw some of the attention and congestion away from Dumbo and everything that is located right there.

I'd like to see the Toontown Fair updated or expanded. I'd like to see maybe an addition of a "Fairtale" area that has princess themed rides, Tink and Friends, the Fairy Godmother, and maybe relocate the "Bibbidi Bobbiddie Boutique" here.

I'd also like to be able to walk through the castle like you used to be able to do...

I'm not a fan of bringing alcohol in the park because you will get those who don't know their limits (or know their limits but don't care), at least in my opinion. Wherver there's alcohol there are extra problems that you wouldn't have had if there wasn't alcohol. Besides, what a bummer it would be to see a 16 year old kid walking around WDW with a beer because his older brother or friend bought it for him. It's a shame that those who enjoy it responsibly have to suffer because of those who don't.

Anyways, I would love to see them capitalize more on the Pirates movies, like something which was suggested earlier by a previous poster....bring in the Black Pearl as something like the tree house...where you can climb up on it and explore it and such. There really aren't too many Aladdin themed rides, which was mentioned earlier...and I know it is an older movie now, but maybe something more to do with Aladdin. The Indy Speedway, also as suggested, would be perfect to fit to something themed to Cars. I would leave COP alone as it is one of the last remaining rides Walt made. Stich's was pretty dull if you ask me. Alien was much better, but since Disney is re-theming all non Disney themed things to Disney themed rides, then I guess they should make this into something else completely. Give up the Alien Encounter/ Stich type ride and make it something else.
