Virgin's DD check-in re-opening!

Returned yesterday (Sunday) and we used the Virgin check-in at Downtown Disney on Saturday. We were PE and we just used whatever check-in came available. I did not see a separate check-in for PE. Also we purchased 2 vouchers prior to Saturday at $5 each because we were informed on arrival at Orlando 2 weeks ago that we could not use the check-in without a voucher. These we handed over during the check-in procedure.

hi John,

where did you buy the vouchers ? I'm trying to avoid the welcome meeting if it's possible to pick them up somewhere else.

thanks

Alec

Alec, Virgin have an office on the US 27. If you drive to the end of the 192 you will need to go south down the US 27. The Virgin office is about a mile or so on the left hand side. It is in a row of about 4/5 shops, clearly marked. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and then again from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Hope info helps
John

Kazzie, there was one check-in at the far left end of the counter for Upper Class, but I'm honestly not sure if they did PE as well. Logically, with fewer people to cater for, they would cover UC and PE at the one check-in, so I would definitely go to that left end if I were you.

So if we're flying back Upper Class (I know I'm showing off) and we want to use this check-in do we have to have one of these $5 vouchers or can we just pay $5 - I'm confused

Here's the statement off the flying club website :

" CHECK IN AT WALT DISNEY FLORIDA

From 1 October 2003 you can check in for Virgin Atlantic flights at Disney World in Florida. The check in desk is at Downtown Disney, Lake Buenavista, under the rear canopy of the Cirque du Soleil building, just a short distance from the Virgin Megastore. The desk is open daily from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Only passengers with confirmed tickets can check in as there are no ticketing facilities at the site. The service is charged at $5 per person. There is no charge for infants, Upper Class passengers or flying club gold members and their parties.

All passengers travelling must be present to check in, and passports and tickets must be presented. Security procedures for baggage acceptance must be followed. Procedures for passengers acceptance will occur and under certain circumstances may result in the need for you to check-in at the airport. "

We will find out in 6 weeks :teeth:
