Virgin - villa off site

We are looking at booking a villa, but I'm a bit worried about a private booking. What if it's a con and there is no villa when you get there? Anyone could post some nice pictures on a web site!

There is always an element of trust involved - you are trusting the owners to rent you their home, and they are trusting you to treat it as your own. Having said that, one you have rented direct from an owner you will probably wonder why you ever stayed in a hotel!
