I know when we got home from our holiday at the end of May I vented on a lot of different threads about the problems we had with Virgin on the trip (basically we arrived at the hotel to find they had cancelled our room reservation ten days before we travelled, and the hotel was now full, dining plan took 4 days for them to sort out, the US staff were appallingly unhelpful, and we never received an apology or explanation whilst there).
I said I would keep people updated with what happened - well I wrote a six page (I had a lot of issues
!!) letter to them, and finally heard back from them today . . . and they refunded us £1500
!! I am absulutely stunned! I honestly expected them to offer me V-Room vouchers! They wrote a really nice letter and I feel like they actually took the time to look at my letter rather than just brushing over it. It has really cheered me up and now - despite what I said - I may actually book with them again!! Orlando 2010 here we come!
So if you do ever have any problems make sure you note all the details down (I had dates, times and quotes from every conversation with the reps over there!) and then fight for your rights once you get home!
