Hi All,

I'm hoping for an October 2006 wedding my heart is set on Sunset Pointe.

My main question is 'Are there any benefits for UK brides booking via Virgin?' I've heard good and bad. My main issue is that we also have a timeshare so were thinking of doing one week staying at Boardwalk and 1 week timeshare. If we book with Virgin I'm sure we have to book flights and accomodation through them. At the moment I'm leaning towards going direct unless I'm missing some big perk.

I just wish the flight schedules for 2006 etc would come out so I can start booking!!!!

Hi

If you have a timeshare (same as us) theres no benefit for you to go through virgin, you may aswell just book your flights with them and book the wedding direct with disney, you will have a choice of dates and time which i think virgin will not confirm until much closer to the time. This is what we are doing although i'm sure couples who have used virgin are happy.

I believe that Virgin only release flights 11 months in advance so, for Oct, you're looking at Nov 2005 at the earliest :-(
We're looking at Aug 2006 with our timeshare and I'm getting restless ;-)

I'm a great advocate at booking direct with Disney infact I'm an advocate of booking all parts of a holiday from the UK seperately I haven't booked a "package" since 1998 because I've been able to do the whole holiday cheaper by booking each component seperately. Certainly if you book with Disney direct from what I've read here from other UK brides you will have more control over your wedding than if you booked a package with Virgin - also remember the exchange rate is in the UK's favour at the moment which can also have a pro on booking direct at the dollar rate rather than at the Virgin UK£ rate.

I'd say go direct with Disney - I'm going through Virgin and they're a nightmare! I've been trying to book a portrait session at the MK for weeks now and they still haven't come back to say what the availability is! Which reminds me I MUST call Disney this afternoon. I thought going through Virgin would take the stress off and the constant internationall calling but maybe not :0(
