Virgin Upper Class!!!??? New Qs Post 37

Out of interest, Anna, how much have you paid to upgrade to UC out of Manchester?

£560 each, each way so £2240.00 but then I did get the ten percent off for being a frequent virgin (flying club member as well)

I am hoping its worth it we always end up squished up and ticked off on a plane in standard this is definatly a splurge holiday, what with upper class, dolphin etc , and I am in the process of cooking something up with gifts of a lifetime

I think that's within the realms of acceptability, Anna. Not sure what you 'get' flying out of Manchester, though. As long as the planes have the new UC Suites, I think I'd be happy with that. (Assuming that's the total price and not just the upgrade element, of course!)

The £560 is the same as the upgrade price for UC departing from LGW (through VH) and they are the same configuration planes ie 14 seats in UC right at the front of the lower deck.

Claire ;)

thats the total flight price the hotels on top.

just need to find some more special things

according to the person on the upper class reservations they are sleepers on the vs075 but then who knows

I think you will find the basic economy flights are already included in the 'hotel' price and the £560 is the supplement each way as I just did a costing on the VH website for both departures from LGW and MAN and the supplements for UC were both £560.

One thing you should check though (and I'm not sure about this as we've never flown from MAN) is that the planes they use for that route do indeed have the new suites installed.

The LGW configured aircraft (as opposed to LHR configured) are rotated between LGW and MAN routes.

Yep they are, they are the seats that convert to beds.

You get to use the Escape lounge at MAN and kids are allowed. This lounge is not just for Virgin though people can pay the £17 to get it :)

Looks beautiful! I'm very jealous! Best I could even dream of getting is Sunshine First...and what do you get for that? Not a lot!

I've heard good things about Sunshine First, although I would love to go Virgin UC too but can't afford it, I will have to keep buying them lottery tickets :teeth:

Don't know - have never tried them: doubt that they would be cheaper than the normal routes for booking this things (i.e. holidayextras.co.uk). When booking hotels/transfers, I book through the cheapest route possible.

No, once you are off the plane in Orlando, you are just the same as any other passenger (am assuming that you mean "picking up your hire care"). The only advantage will be that you will be one of the first off the plane (so should be near the front of the immigration queue) and your bags should be one of the first to come off at reclaim....

Anna

Some car-hire companies offer a fast lane service where I *think* you get front of line access, when I booked my car-hire I was sent a membership form for one with alamo :)
