Hi everyone, wondering if you are able to answer a few questions for me on virgins twilight check in at Gatwick?

I have booked seat plus for both legs of the journey and been told that we need to check in at the airport and not online (like I've always done before), do you know if I can still do twilight check in so it's less of a rush in the morning? I'm guessing I can as it's the same as it's still airport check in?

We will be taking a stroller and car seat, when you do twilight check in do you check in your cases and is it also possible to check in oversized items?

Same questions for dtd check in - can we check in with seat plus and can we drop stroller and car seat off?

Thanks!

Both Twilight and DTD check in are normal check ins so you can use both with seat plus.

I know that oversize won't be an issue at twilight bit never used it at DTD as we always needed the car seat to get to the airport so just used bag drop for that separately (you can take it to the gate but t was easier just to drop it at the check in desks on the way past!)

Yes of course we will need the car seat to return to the airport - silly me it's been a long day! We won't need it in Gatwick as we will be using my mums seat so will have our own in our car so can drop the spare seat off the night before then.

PS - I've ordered one of the car seat bags you suggested the other day - thanks for the tip :)

not as silly as you might think ;)

if you want to get bags taken care of, you still have the possibility of sending one adult with kids on the magical express, no car seat required, meanwhile another adult gets the car back to mco

or if you haven't booked the car yet you can choose to drop it off t the car care and then all go on the DME

that stil doesn't adress the oversize items check at dtd though but those are options

Don't take DME back it will collect you 4 hours before and having used DTD check in you don't need to be there that early. The bag drop line is nearly always empty at MCO so dropping the car seat won't take a couple of minutes.

By not using DME you can get another hour or hour and half doing something fun rather than sitting in the airport. :thumbsup2
