We've gone for having transfers from the airport to hotel rather than a car (we will prob hire one for a week in the middle)

Has anyone used Virgin transfers and what were they like?

I'm put off a little by the ME as readin some older threads you have to leave hours before your return flight and when you arrive your luggage takes hours to arrive at the hotel.

Any input for either option would be great.

Thanks :)

hi, we used the virgin transfers, we took our cases with us on the coach so we did'nt have to wait around for our luggage to turn up. it was a mears coach going and dme on our return, i am sure if you check in at dtd you can request to get the transfer from there which picks you up later than if you get it from the resort. sure i read this in the welcome package i think you have to let them know 48 hours in advance. hope someone can come along and clarify this.

We have used ME and it is easy.Just take hand bagage with minimum clothing etc you need for the first night.(Thats just in case your bags are a little late) we arrived in ssr around 0630 pm checked in ,found the room ,went to have a meal and on return the bags were in our room. can't ask for more than that.

We have used ME several times with no problems. We have always taken our luggage from the airport with us on the coach. Also have never left any earlier than normal for return to airport.

hi, when we got picked up from the hotel it was roughly at 2pm, if we had checked our luggage in at dtd i am sure it was a pick up at 4pm, i read the information in the welcome package to late to do this. if my memory serves me right i am sure you had to let them know 24 hours before hand.

We used transfers in 2004 on our honeymoon with virgin. It was a mini bus. They dropped us off at the wrong hotel near international drive as there was two with similar names and when the reception realised the mini bus had gone and we had to pay for a taxi. In May we are using ME and hopefully it will be a lot smoother.:bitelip:
