Virgin seats

Were flying out on the 4th for our honeymoon with virgin. just booked normal seats.
Is there anything we can do to get nice seats. or how do you go about pre booking your seats? would it be worth phoning TA up?

Depends on what you call nice seats. That could open up a big can of worms on here.

If you are talking about PE then that will probably cost you quite a bit of money to upgrade.

With regards to economy seats the majority of OK as far as it goes. Bulk head seem to be some peoples choice but have their limitations re near toilet, near galley and are slightly smaller than the rest

Personally if you have the money upgrade to PE, quieter in the bubble, bigger seats, more leg room and the service is a bit more personal

I know Virgin are now selling a few seats with extra leg room but these are only available at checkin.

Hi, welcome to Dis!

The cost of upgrading to PE would very much depend on what type of tickets you got in the first place. I am assuming that you have booked a package with Virgin Holidays - if so, give them a ring (or TA you used) and see what the cost is. I would guess that you are looking at around £300pp each way.

Otherwise, if you booked flight only then you will need to contact Virgin Atlantic direct or check your booking online to see what the cost would be. The other factor to consider is if there are actually any PE seats left this late as they are becoming more and more popular and this is a bus time with school hols etc.

Other than PE, if there is just the 2 of you then I would suggest the seats at the back where they reduce to 2-4-2. I think these might be the ones that they are now holding back for check-in and charging extra for them.

Am I to guess by your username that you are a Tigers fan?

Just been to TA and they have no PE seats left at all, i could pre book now but it would be a seat in the 3-4-3 config which means we would have someone next to us.
The others 2-5-2 is it are released 24 hours before take off so will have to hold on till then.

Sorry to Hijack,but we are going december a group of 7 and have booked 2x2 at the back and the 3 in front.As they are now holding them back should I select seats elsewhere as do not want to end up sitting in a 4 in the middle.

Crabbie - you might want to check on VA to see if they have reallocated your seats - I know others on here had requested the 2 seats together at the back and then found that VA had moved them due to now holding these back until check-in.

Casfan - not a Tiger myself but my Dad is a season ticket holder. Are you from Cas then? I grew up in Allerton Bywater.

seats are never confirmed till check in anyway as they can change the aircraft etc.

Checking in online is always good, we cant do it this time as we have 5 flights book, i'm so unhappy
