Virgin seating requests

I tried to request my seats for next Sept last week, and again this week, at exactly the right date (booked through Virgin Holidays). VA claim the seats aren't released until January for Sept. Now I know this isn't true but no-one seems able to help. Any suggestions anyone???

I would try talking to another representative (maybe they don't realise, or maybe the timing has been changed), or if you are a member of the flying club, you can book online. Hope you have better luck!

I had the sane response from Virgin, Gill. I rang off and got through to someone different who booked them for me

I can never get the website seat reservation thing to work and the girl from Virgin said their database can't cope with "large group bookings". Bless them, there are only 6 of us going!

Virgin do seem to be heading in the right direction to lose an awful lot of customers in the coming year reading most of the comments on this and several other boards..Whats happened to them?

Maybe it has to do with relocating call centres?

Hi

Call Virgin Holidays and ask them for your "Locater" number which is DIFFERENT from your "Reservation" number.

Virgin Atlantic will recognise your Locater number if your names have been put on these flights and you'll be able to book your seats with them.

I requested my seats on-line using my Virgin Holidays reference number (on my invoice). However I wasn't able to do this for outward or return flights until 330 days from the return flight.
