Virgin Seat Configuration Query

We are booked to fly with Virgin from Heathrow to Miami at the end of April and after looking at our booking online today realised that they have changed the plane and our seats that we booked 10months ago were no longer valid.
We were originally seated together at the front of the plane in rows 5k and 6k in Upper Class.
They had changed our seats, downstairs in rows 15a and 16a outbound and up in the Pod on the return trip in seats 3k and 5k. The outbound are at least together but can anyone give me their opinion as to whether the Pod or downstairs in Upper Class would be preferable.

Many thanks

If would say upstairs is better for a return night flight as should be quieter as there is no bar!

Claire ;)

the maimi route is done with airbus' so no upstairs on that route unless something is wrong with the airbus'

I'm no help what so ever but just wanted to say that we had the same problem with our return flight from Miami in May when they changed the plane.

virgin have the right to change and amend any seat requests untill booking passes have been printed due to operational changes. thats the speil I had to tell people when they called the VA call centre

Virgin frequently change our seats on all our flights with them. As a habit we log in once a week to check where are seats are - usually 2 or 3 changes per flight is normal. It's nothing but a pain!!

I really wish - there was a courtsey email, even a generic one, that says, sorry - technical issue and we've moved you. But they won't do that....if it wasn't for the DTD check in, we'd never fly with Virgin again!!
