Hey everyone,

Me and DH are looking to book our first trip for Sept 2013 - i noticed on the virgin website that prices have creeped up over the last 2 months.
The reason we havn't yet booked is because my work contract is due for renewal in October...and i'm a bit anxious about bokking it to be denied the leave.

Anyway - is the price going to keep creeping up - or does it generally go up and down again throughout the year?

thanks

do you mean Virgin Holidays or Virgin Atlantic?

I personally think there is something wrong with the Virgin Holidays site, as this year the prices are very high. Usually the prices are inline/cheaper that other quotes weve had. However this time they are nearly £2,000 more than other quotes. I mentioned it on twitter and they said they didnt think there was a problem and asked me to email my details but they havent replied back.
I cant see how much theyre charging for everything as they dont break down the prices anymore.

Their pricing generally goes up and down during the day/month/year-Im always pricing up quotes on there. :rotfl2:
The new packages usually come out end April, beginning of May-I find thats a good time to book. :goodvibes

Yes - sorry - Virgin holidays.

Like you - we've been pricing it up on their occasionally as we've been saving up. :yay:

I will definitly check out some others as well. Hopefully their having issues and the prices comes down :teacher: hehe!

yeah I hope so.
The holiday we want is over £9,000 with VH :scared1:

With Disney.co.uk its £5,000 minus flights-cant imagine economy flights being £4,000.
Both with Free dining and tickets.

I would do rough pricing on Disney-although they wont be able to price holiday with flights yet. ;)

I may email Virgin again-although Im trying quotes for next August, we're not going until 2014 (hopefully if price is right)

I bet its hard as your dates are out now, its a shame you cant be certain of getting time off work.
Fingers crossed the price goes low for you.x:goodvibes

I agree VH prices seemed high to me too - their quote was £1500 higher than the one I received for Thompson

yep i got a quote with thomas cook 6900 for 5 people , flighst car , car ins, disney onsite tix and dining plan in yacht club !!

the same package was almost double on vh by the time i had added the park tickets !

We're going to wdw in June and I have to say no one can match Walt Disney traver company, they usually come out 2 grand cheaper your cutting out the middle man with them. I showed my quote from wdwtc to thomascook and they couldn't believe it let alone match it.

And thank you everyone :) :thumbsup2
