right all along we were waiting to book flights from dublin for Nov 09
but i just cant wait to the 330 days before as we have found a villa we really like. Also euro rate is terrible at the minute so flights arent as cheap as they were
ive priced TCD and virgin for fly drive 2 weeks dep 31st Oct 09 2 adults 2 children with platinum car insurance from london to orlando
TCD is £2070 Virgin is £3123 virgin can only price match 15% which takes of £450.

So im thinking of waiting till nov flights come out as we r pretty flexible with dates and the villa is available at the minute. Virgin have advised prices r cheaper in nov and they may have free or cheap transfers for us from belfast.
with TCD we would have to add belfast transfers and a possible overnight hotel stay which could add upwards of £300 or £400. Also if i book on virgin credit card i will get 10% discount

do u reckon im doing the right thing?? or should i just book TCD

If I were you Id wait and see. I prefer Virgin personally as I like the fact you can pay and check in in Downtown Disney rather than having to lug cases around all day.

is virgin price matching your holiday against TCD, if so how, as TCD flys to SAnford Orlando, and Virgin to Orlando Inter. ???

if depends what you want to do are you on a bugdet? if so i would go with TCD as they are cheaper, or if you want to fly in style Virgin?

which is the most easiest for you?

also with TCD you can check in your luggage early at the TCD Welcome Centre located at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores.

Didn't know this but then again dont drive so its easier doing DTD as usually stay at a Disney resort. Good to know though thanks

We flew Virgin last time we went and have booked TCD this time.

The way I look at it is this. You are stuck in a airplane for 8.5 hours regardless who you fly with. As long as you get there the flight is a small portion of your holiday and the money saved can be better spent while on holiday

You can get 10% discount with Virgin by joining for free thier frequent flyer programme (don;t have to pay the CC fee then). I looked at virgin flydrive prices for May next year and i thought they look expensive so am waiting until flights are released in June and maybe keep a eye open for the Miles plus money seats.

no virgin will only do 15% which is £450 so brings it down to £2600 ish

I prefer Virgin,I ventured over to "TCD boards" and have read some negative reviews esp for there flights as the 747's arent being used now, they are using Thomas Cook,My travel etc.
We get 10% off with Virgin anyway so hense why I prefer them.
I dont think you can get another discount on top of another not sure?:confused3

Hi,

I have flown both Virgin and TCD and am going Virgin again this November. Would fly either, generally go with the best deal. November prices with Virgin are much cheaper than October. If you look on the online brochure on the Virgin website you can see the difference in the Oct/Nov prices for this year.

The main reason we went with Virgin this time was that once you pay the extra for pre-booking seats/extra luggage etc. with TCD (and the fact that we are not using Virgin car hire, as booked our own car - can't to this with TCD) Virgin worked out cheaper!!:woohoo:

Hope you get sorted.
