so can we do online check-in as well or instead of twilight???
thanks:sunny:

Hi Natalie,

Twilight check in is open until 9pm. I've never used the online facility so don't know if this is easier or not? I think Twilight is great though :teeth:

Cheers

Karen

We will be using Twilight Check-in for the first time in December. From what I can gather (both from these boards and from friends who've used the service) it should be dead, so I don't think there would be any point in using both services.

The trip before last we also went down to Gatwick the day before. We left Barwell about 4pm (we had everything ready, and as soon as DDs and DW got home from school we set off).

This was a Friday afternoon (I guess traffic is worse on a Friday!), and the route we took was M69 to Coventry then A46 to the M40. We hit a bit of traffic at the A46/M40 roundabout but not much. The M40 was clear until we got to High Wycombe where an accident had slowed things down a little. As we approached the M25 things REALLY slowed down!

From the M40 junction round to the Gatwick junction on the M25 I don't think we got out of second gear!

I think we arrived at the Gatwick Hilton at between 7:30pm. Unfortunetly this was 4 weeks after 9/11 and they had stopped the twilight checkin  . So we had to get up early the next morning :)

last time we went to gatwick we went m1/m25,this was also on a friday afternoon,do you think that the m40 way is qiucker/easier then????

Does anyone know if Twilight check-in operates at Heathrow too ??

We weren't planning on going to Heathrow the night before our Miami flight, but I do hate those early starts when you have a long traveling day ahead....

We're Back!!!!!!

Have to recommend the On-line checkin.
Did it in 5 minutes the night before, and we queued for about 5 minutes at Gatwick to get our boarding passes, while all the other poor souls joined the back of the normal queue with 400+ people in it!
Use it while you can though, as when it catches on, you probably won't get that much benefit out of it.

Hi there,
We're travelling with Virgin too but from Manchester.
Is it possible to use the online checkin when travelling from there and how do you access it?
Thanks.
Alison

Alison - no problem doing online check-in for the Manchester flight and here's the link for the check-in page. (I hope!!)

Thanks for that Becky.
The link worked perfectly:)
I've saved it in Favourites for when we travel in January.

hiya

can i use the online checkin even if i have booked through tcd, what booking ref would i use (i am flying virgin, just booked through travel city direct)

We had a problem with the code thing - we'd booked through Bon Voyage - the code BV gave us didn't work, even though when we rang Virgin they said it was the correct one. We waited until the e-tickets arrived from BV and used THAT number, which worked fine! we haven't done on-line check-in yet but intend to do so next Tuesday!!!!!!! ;) :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
