VM has a 9.99 phone and a cheap plan, or so it seems. Just need dc to have texting and / or phoning.

how is VM if anyone has or has had it? thank you so much!

My brain isn't working at full speed tonight, I have no idea what dc is.

Virgin Mobile is a decent company. I used them in the past, my parents have used them for years and my DD has had VM for about a year. I have no complaints about them other than they use Sprint towers. Sprint in my area is not very strong and at times we have signal strength issues (I have Sprint through Sprint).

I've been with virgin mobile for past 1 1/2 yrs. I bought the phone through best buy--had issues with it and it was replaced for free within a month. This
2nd phone is working fine although recently it has started freezing up and lagging. I just switched my teen from vm to page plus wireless. Neither one of us have had problems with VM and were on the $35/month plan.

Page plus is working well. Gives better coverage on out of town trips in our area because it's on the Verizon network. The cost for this plan is $30/month. When I have to get a new phone, I'm switching to page plus.

I have been using a prepaid VM smartphone for the last two years and I'm pleased with the coverage and the price ($35 for unlimited data and text and 300 minutes of talk). I would not hesitate to try one of their plans for your kid. I don't have any of my kids set up with their own phones yet, but when I decide they need one I will probably get them a VM phone plan too. Dh gets a phone through work so there is no family plan stuff going on at our house.

We have VM for DD's iPhone. It is $30 a month plus taxes and has unlimited texting and 200 minutes per month. Her reception is not as good as DH and my Tracfone is. She had Tracfone but we switched because she wanted an iPhone and unlimiting texting.

Ive been using VM for awhile now and have no complaints. I always have full signal, payment processes as it should, I get notification if Im close to going over minutes... pretty much everything I could ask for and you can't beat the price. $30/month v. $80/month w/att for my iPhone. I rarely go over 50mins so its great for me. Even if you get unlimited minutes its still much cheaper.
