We are flying on on the 10th Jan 2004, very excited:bounce:

However tried to book seats so the 4 of us would be together.

Virgin said we couldn't book until check in as 60% have already prebooked, no word about this percentage in the brochure.

Any good tips for getting good seats for the remaining 40% beyond the obvious get there 6 hours early LOL.

Any good flight tips welcome...

Kev:tongue:

Apparently you also can't pre-book if your party is too big.

10 of us arrived at the check in queue at 6.30 for the 10.35 flight and we got seats together. I shouldn't think you will have much of a problem. On the way home, check in at DTD and you will be well ahead of the crowds.

When we was traveling back we used downtown check in and we had pre booked (well pre requested) our seat and only when she gave us the boarding passes we noticed we wasn’t sitting together in the seats we booked. We were then told there is no guarantee you will get the seats u book as it is only a request. Well after a little bit of an argument she was able to find our original seat which earlier had been taken by someone she said

Best thing to do I would say is use twilight check in going out and downtown checking coming back. Saves you spending so much time in the airport.

I know this works from Gatwick airport and from Orlando international airport

not sure about manchester

UNFORTUNATELY, MANCHESTER ARE YET TO BE HONOURED WITH TWILIGHT CHECK-IN BUT I CAN'T SEE YOU HAVING A PROBLEM GETTING SEATS TOGETHER
