Virgin Holiday Online Discounts?

Hi

I have been looking to book a flydrive for myself in August. The only problem is yesterday there was a 5% online booking reduction, but today it doesnt seem to be on there. I know VH had problems the other day with the site. Have they taken the 5% online booking discount off or could it be another computer blip

As far as I know it's a permanent thing - if you call them up and explain, they should honour the discount for you, I'd done this before when a free dining package wasn't totalling up correctly, because it wasn't working online and I had to call up instead they still gave me the online discount, as it was a technical fault at their end.
Go for it!

Spoke to Virgin. They are not offering discounts on those flights in August now because the flights are selling out. At least I know now. It was rather confusing and annoying. I wish I booked it at the weekend. That will teach me. Dont you hate hind sight.

That's a shame, you're not in the Frequent Virgin Club are you? They offer discount, and I think possibly the Flying Club does too if you're a member.

Will have to bear that in mind for the future, I always presumed the online discount applied whenever you booked.

No it was never a permanent offer and I can see why VH have now removed it from being there all the time as it weakened the FVC offers, especially when the 5% became 10% at bank holiday's. I expect the 5% may be back for limited periods.

Yes it does include Virgin Holidays as we have just booked our holiday through Virgin and we got 10% off because we are Flying Club members
