Has anyone travelled with Virgin and attended their welcome meeting. We are unsure as to whether it is worth spending a couple of hours at the meeting in order to get the free tickets to Arabian nights. We are staying at ASMo for 14 nights and have Unlimited Magic Passes included. We do not intend venturing much outside of Disney so will be having transfers instead of car rental. So even if we do attend the meeting and get the tickets we will have to find some way of getting to the show. Does anyone know the best way to get there and how much it would cost? Did you think the meeting was worthwhile or would our time be better spent in the parks? Was Arabian nights good and would my 7 year old DD enjoy it? Sorry there are lots of questions but any replies are much appreciated.

For 14 days your passes are a bad buy. You're better off buying an annual pass.
Arabian Nights is an enjoyable dinner show (particularly for your DD) and includes beer and wine. The food is so-so. Rental car is the best way to get there, I'd as Virgin how to get there, they may have some type of shuttle available.
Go the the website and look at the pictures of the show, it'll give you an idea if your DD would like it.

Hi Debsi,

Cant really answer your question but know some people who can, Pete has given us Ukers our own seperate board which is at www.wdwinfo.co.uk - you will have to re - register but there are loads of us there, and quite a few of those go with Virgin

The welcome meeting isn't too much of a pain to attend. It only lasts about 20 minutes, then you have to queue up for your tickets at the end, which can take a little while. You can always arrive late and just catch the last few minutes, then get your tickets. I'm sure your 7-year-old would like the show, so long as they can handle a late night (it finished at 10.45 when we went). Our kids really loved it.

Thankyou for the info, I've looked at the Arabian Nights site it looks like a good show. I may do as you say Lowen and catch the end of the meeting. Do you know whether they had someone selling suncreams as well and did you buy any, and do you think they were better than I can get at home. If so what did they cost? Thanks Sally I'll try the Uk site as well.
