We booked our holiday in January, flying with Virgin from Manchester airport. The flight time was 14:25. In March we made a change to the booking, but never received an updated invoice. I called Virgin a few weeks ago and they sent me a new invoice.

My wife noticed that the flight time was now 13:30. I checked VAs website, and started a new booking on VHs website and both are now showing the flight time as 13:30.

I called Virgin, they confirmed the flight time of 13:30, but the call centre operator said that there was no record of the flight time being changed. All my original documentation from January shows the flight time as 14:25.

If my wife hadn't noticed the change, I think we may have missed the check-in time. We haven't been sent any communication informing us of the change. There wasn't even a note on the new invoice.

We fly in October, but I would advise anyone travelling on the afternoon flight from Manchester to check the time of your flight before you set off.

The flight time is always printed on your ticket so provided you check those carefully, always advisable, you wouldn't miss the flight.

Ok if you get tickets. 3 out of our next 4 trips to US are E-tickets. BMI are tickets but then the next 3 after that with Virgin are ticketless.
You should always check with airline 24 hours before you fly.

Steve, this happened to us also.We booked in January and were told 14.25 as the departure time, this time is also on our e tickets. However, Virgin did ring us late Feb to advise the time change. Although no written or e mail confirmation was ever received.
Since then I have been on the website to book seat numbers, pre-order meals etc. On one ticket everything was ok but on the second ticket the booking confirmation number was not accepted on line. When I rang flying club they said it was because the flight time on the second ticket had not been ammended on their system to 13.30 and therefore the system could not recognise the booking. They changed the details on the system at their end and then I was able to manage the booking on line.I'm glad I got this sorted otherwise I would not be able to do online check in.
Wayne, good advise :thumbsup2 I always check details 24hrs before, and if possible do online check in

From sometime next year, Virgin have introduced two flights a day from Manchester. One at 10.25 and then one in the afternoon - don't know whether that's of any help to you! :thumbsup2
