Virgin flight changes

Right that it I am just about ready to looooooose the will to live:sad1::sad2:

Just checked my flights again and 6th Dec is still showing 747 :sad2::sad2: and now coming home on 30th they've now changed to yes you've guessed it bloody (sorry about the language but believe me there are stronger words I like to use:rolleyes1)747 again:confused3:confused3

Why oh why is it always me:mad:

Sorry for the rant

They are a nightmare messing with everyone's plans, it's not just Orlando either, a work colleague has had his changed going to Las Vegas! Theyre not exactly a cheap airline either (not that that should really matter)! :confused3

Are you sure you're going to Orlando and not Miami:) Bet you go and check.

I think we are still on the 747-400 both ways but who knows:confused3

Bloomin hec xxxxxxx yes def mco lol. It will prob change ten times by then. I think the systems are on overload. Still showing seat map for 747 though.

I'd double check they've got you going to Orlando;)

When I booked my flight a couple of months ago I was doing two separate bookings, one for my parents as they are travelling out with my brother & his family on 19th November and my booking for my family traveling out on 6th December with all 7 of us returning on 30th December (my brother is coming home as we arrive, not sure what that tells you:rotfl2:)

Anyway 2days later imagine my face when I came to print off the E tickets and they had us all going on 19th Novemer:scared1::scared1:

Can you imagine the letter I'd get from school:rolleyes1

Oh god i will ring them but eticket def says mco on both. My flight date is 19 th september . Perhaps someone else can check for me!!!!!!

are you going from Manchester on the 19th Sept? one flight is an A330 and the other is a B747!!

No, its the smaller one, is a pain it takes approx an hour longer, not sure why, maybe just not as fast or diff route? :confused3

A330 is a wee bit slower than 747

A330 has a cruise speed of 541mph vs 567mph for the B747 (max speed is 567 vs 614)

so the Airbus is 26mph slower than the Boeing. Doesn't sound much, but London-Orlando is 4350miles, and on an 8h journey, the 747 leaves the 330 250 miles behind

Now, the 330 is more fuel efficient and her engines are a lot more powerful than the 747's (60k pounds of thrust per engine for 747 vs 70k pounds of thrust per engine for 330), but the 747 has 4 of them engines when the 330 only has 2

from a fuel efficiency standpoint, the 330 is a no brainer, even if it means spending more time in the air. (sorry for going all Greenpeace on you all :) )

when I did a dummy booking for the 19th it didn't have the A340-600 on either of the flights! Who knows whats going on:confused3...oh well what will be will be and it looks like you're not going to know for sure until you arrive at Manchester..at least it won't be some propeller job!!:)

So have had another email from Seymour A Hills; (whoever that is)?

*
We are writing to inform you that our recent communication of a flight number change concerning your flight between Manchester and Orlando International was incorrect due to a systems error. You have now been reinstated onto the original flight as booked.
*
The up to date flight details including any new time changes are listed below. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Best of it is, the outgoing flight is the one they changed it to and the return flight is different again! :worship:

I give up now, I'll just wait till nearer the time!
