Hi guys, just to let you know Virgin films for August are not listed if you are flying then

I've loaded my iPad with films to watch as the IFE on Virgin isn't the best.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

that just reminded me of something that happened to us. We used to go with a friend to WDW but stopped because it just wasn't working. The first time we went without him we was watching a movie at 35,000ft on the way over and he appeared on the screen...we'd forgotten that he was a film extra and he was in that particular movie...DH and I just turned to each other and laughed out loud!! He didn't see the funnyside when we told him:rotfl:

lol you still got him on the holiday with you

I enjoy the IFE and know alot of people use it so just thought I would let people know if they do,

think they have some carried over from July, my youngest son will watch chipmunks on repeat quite happily for 10 hours lol, thank god for headphones x

We flew with Virgin for the first time this year and were very disappointed witht he IFE. I guess I should have checked in advance but it wasn't up to our expectations. We've been flying longhaul with US Airways for years and assumed that Virgin's IFE would be superior.

The films are listed here

Hardly any child friendly films as it's school holidays.

Just flicked through the list and the Avengers (:lovestruc) is listed. What are the chances of it being carried over into the first couple of weeks in September?

I've been keeping my fingers crossed for it to be on the IFE and it would be just my luck for them to stop showing it before we fly lol x

were you on the new planes or the old ones...I believe the IFE is better on the A330 and the new refurb'ed 474? Also in the lap of the gods as too what movies have been released recently...
Must admit I rarely watch it nowadays..I just listen to my ipod and close my eyes and try to rest...without much success I hasten to add;)

We were on the old non-refurb'd Boeings. What we weren't prepared for was all the films starting at the same time and having no 'pause' and 'rewind' facility. US Airways IFE allows you to choose to watch a film when you want to watch it and you have all the controls to pause, RW and FF. By the time we'd decided what to watch, they'd started and we'd missed a lot. On the way back I was more prepared, but problems with the system made them re-start it, and the film I'd been watching never came back again!

Portable DVD player next time!

It will be still on, there there for 2-3 months at least especially blockbusters.
