Hi, were flying out to Orlando on the 17th of May :cool1: we will be doing the twilight checkin and are also contemplating doing the check in at downtown disney.
Has anybody got any info on the checkin procedure etc.
Look forward to hearing from you all

Basically, you take your luggage to the check in before 1pm, check it in and then Virgin take it to the airport for you, leaving you free to spend another hour or so luggage free before driving to the airport yourselves :sunny:
We were in two minds about using it in Feb and made it with 10 mins to spare.
On arrival we were informed our flight was delayed until the next day and were able to go straight to the hotel in which Virgin put us up overnight.
Many people who hadn't used the check in actually got to the airport, and spent a while there, before finding out and then having to wait for a bus to drive them back to ID! :sad2:
I'd say use it - we had an extra day in the sun as a result :goodvibes

Does anyone know if you can check in with Virgin at Downtown Disney, then use Magic Express to get out to the airport?

We used it last October and thought it was very good. We were not on a Virgin Holidays but with Tradewinds but were still allowed to use it for a nominal fee as we had a Virgin flight.

I could never see the appeal - we always put our suitcases in the boot (trunk :teeth: ) for the day and we've never had a wait to check-in at the airport.

However, we have used it for our past two trips and we'll definitely use it again - it made a big difference to our last day. You can check-in anytime between 9.30am and 1pm. Both times we've used it, there's only been one other group checking-in. We've arrived fairly early and, because we normally book the late flight home, it really does give us a whole day to enjoy. There's no need to get to the airport several hours before the flight, which is great for us as we've seen the inside of MCO so many times, we've got no real interest in looking around the shops or duty free. We do still like a pre-flight drink in the lobby of the Hyatt, though ;) .

We have used this service twice now with Virgin and its excellent. The second time we had to pay $5 each as we only had flights booked and not a holiday (comes free with a holiday package). We always make sure we get to check-in for opening which is 8.30am our flight in January was at 8.40pm so we had a whole day to do disney one last time. Its great, you don't have to worry about lugging your suitcases around and you can bypass all the queues at the airport.

I say DO IT, you wont regret it. :teeth: :earsboy:

Same from me. We aleays book in the bags at 8.30 and then don't need to get to the airport until around 6pm.

Definitely go for it.

Hi there,

We used it last August and it was brilliant. Got there about 8.00 first in queue, quite a lot of people used that day. No weighing of luggage just lined up cases in front of truck, then you identify them and they put on the tags. Seats were already sorted all party seated together. Got our boarding bits and we were free to go. We trundled round to Wolfgang Pucks for breaksfast and by the time we had finished the shops were all open. It was fantastic to have what felt like another day althugh we left around 1.30 to get the car back in time after lunching at the Rainforest Cafe. So all in all it was an experience I would repeat.

Hope this helps.

And don't forget that there is a seperate check in line if your are flying UC or have a Virgin Gold card (plus you do not have to pay the $5 charge)

....and for PE passengers too!

Another vote here for using this. We would put our suitcases in the boot otherwise but it was great to get rid of them and arrive at the airport with only us to worry about :teeth:
