Virgin Downtown Disney check-in

Does anyone know if the Virgin check-in desk allocates seat numbers or do you have to wait until you get to the airport before you are given the seat numbers?

What are everyone's experiences of this service at Downtown and what time does it open?

Hi Lisa,

Generally opens at 08:30 and yes they do allocate seat numbers.

Seperate queue for Economy and Premium Economy, we always fly home PE and find it well worthwhile overall and you get rid of your cases early.

You get your seat allocation when you check-in at DTD. It then gives you extra time to go to the parks or some last-minute shopping.

Experiences - Every time has been great with no queue (we go at around 11:00am) with one exception last Christmas - it caused serious problems that resulted in me getting £150.00 compensation from Virgin holidays.

Remember that if you don't book with Virgin Holidays you have to pay for this service (I think it's $5.00 per person) but it's still well worth it.

You get your actual boarding card from the Downtown Disney check-in, just as if you had checked in at the airport as normal

Remember you can state your seating preference on the Virgin Atlantic site up to 11 months before your return flight - your seat preference is not guaranteed, but using DTD check-in helps to ensure you get the seats you want

I think it opens around 8:30am - best to get there as early as possible as lines do build up, and it gives you more time to spend in the parks or shopping etc...

We have allocated our seats already online and usually those seats are the ones that we have when we fly. You just go on the website and choose your seats
