virgin companion flight? how do they work?

Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone can tell me how the virgin companion seat works with the flying club?
I have enough points but i don't know how it works as i have never done it before.

are all routes available? does the companion still pay taxes etc?

Basically you have to book a seat in a qualifying fare code and there be a reward seat avaiable for the companion. They will have to pay taxes.

Have a look at this Table showing fare classes - it I not the cheapest seats and rewards are not always easy to get into MCO.

Silly question but how do i know what fare category the flights are? I am searching for flights in economy but they dont seem to show a fare category?

I am actually looking for flights to new york rather than mco.

when you have found the flights you want and ticked the box for it, on the next screen it gives you at the very bottom it will say FARE BREAKDOWN, click on that and it will give you the class you are booking..

NY usually has good reward availability
