Apologies if this has been mentioned before.
From the VA web site:

"From early September, you'll be able to beat the queues at check in as we will be adding six DIY Check In Kiosks at London Gatwick, designed to save you time at the airport by using self service check in.

If you haven't used Kiosk Check In before, don't worry. We've developed a friendly onscreen character called Ruby who will act as a reference point for you; and if you still have problems, our Passenger Service Agents will be more than happy to help.

You'll be pleased to hear you can check in at the Kiosks on the day of departure using a machine readable passport, credit card, frequent flyer card or Virgin Atlantic booking reference for identification. Once you have your boarding card you'll be directed to take your luggage to the allocated bag drop, where they will be security profiled. The kiosk can read all notes in the booking such as upgrades and even print Clubhouse invitations for Upper Class passengers. You can check in using kiosks up to one hour before your flight is due to depart."

Shame you can't do this for twlight check in. We always use twligt for Virgin, so much easier

I like the bit about 'notes on the booking for upgrades' think I'll put a note on my booking requesting upgrades!!!
do ya reckon it'll work? :sad2:
