We are hiring two cars a Cabrolet and the car which is equivelent to a mercedes in the UK.

What are the cars like from virgin and how easy is it after collecting your luggage to pick up the cars.

Also we are taking 13 large suitcases do you think these will get this amount in two cars. 2 people in the convertible and 4 in the lux car.

Virgin use Dollar car rental services and they are pretty good.Once you have done all the paperwork at the rental desk, virgin have there own seperate desk, dollar will allocate your cars and tell you which rows there in,dead easy process.

As far as the suitcases go I don't think you've got a hope in #### of getting all those cases in the cars booked as the boots or trunks as they are known are quite a bit smaller than ours in the UK,so I think you will either need to cut back on the cases or look to hire something bigger to fit them all in.

13 suitcases!!

You will need to rent a bus to fit those in....we tend to go for the 7 seater people carrier which is okay for our 3 large suitcases and stroller plus hand luggage - however, we used to struggle getting all that in a full size 4 door car.
To will need about 4 large cars to accomodate your cases.

Even the people carriers we get are not ideal, thay are designed for carrying people not necessary luggage also, we manage because there are three of us and we fold the rear seats down..
sorry for asking but for 6 people, why 13 suitcases??

No you definitely WON'T get all that luggage in two cars. Is it really necessary to take SO much with you, things are quite cheap so you can buy out there. If you really do need to take so much, eg you're taking medical equiptment, then you will need to send several to your villa in a cab.
As stated, the dollar set up is reasonably efficient so you shouldn't be too delayed there.
Good luck!

As previously mentioned you wont get 13 suitcases in 2 cars.

Are you planning in shopping? We go out with empty suitcases packed inside each other and fill them up when we're there. You may find getting back to the airport the bigger task

Getting the cars from Virgin couldn't be easier. They put signs up with arrows pointing you to the lift after you get your luggage and then further arrows taking you to their check in desk. There are also plenty Virgin staff around to help.

Having filled out the paper work it is a short hop across to get your car. When we used Dollar this year someone went and got the car and brought it to us.

Next year we opted to book the car ourselves and not take the Virgin car (getting a full size car for £200 less than an intermediate car). We will however follow the same signs to the Dollar desk.

Aah - I've just seen your signature and the 13 suitcases become clear.

Congratulations

You will only get one large case in the trunk of the convertable, they are tiny!

I would consider a Mini Van as your second car, but I really dont think you are going to fit everything in :( You are probably going to have to consider either a 3rd car or a taxi to accomodate your baggage. Call Virgin and see what they recommend. If you are using the Virgin Wedding co-ordinators, I would start there, as they are much more helpful than the general "Customer Service" staff. By the way, if there are 6 of you, you are only allowed 2 pieces of baggage each, so you are over by one case. Be careful, as they are quite strict on this.
