Virgin "bubble"

Our 60 day seat map opened up today and we managed to get seats in the bubble.
Just wondered if that means disembarking first after premium economy passengers or last after the whole of the economy cabin downstairs?
If anyone has any experience with this it d be great to hear from you!
P.s this means my trip is only 60 days away!!!!! Too excited!!!!

First after first class. People faff about up there though and can lose you your advantage. Get yourself and your hand luggage to the top of the stairs first

When we were up there in May we got off before upper class on both legs of the journey. Don't know if it differs depending on the cabin crew but there was no-one ensuring first class got off first.

First class was nearly empty the last time we flew and not full the time before. Even of they let them off first there's not enough of them to make much of a difference.

I fully expect upper and PE to be off first, just wanted to see if we d be infront or behind the economy from downstairs! A few years ago when we checked in we were told aah, we have 2 nice seats for you, just 2 seats in the row! It ll be nice and quiet! What they failed to add was you will be at the back of immigration line!! Epic fail! We were literally the last row!!

If you are in economy in the bubble you can be off that flight before PE in the bubble and before the downstairs PE if you get to the top of the bubble stairs fast. You are going to be sitting nearer to that staircase than the PE bubble people so smile. No more epic fails for you the quickest we ever got off a flight was when sitting in economy in the bubble. I hustled when in PE in May but some economy bubble folks beat me. Go forward. Be first!!!!!!!

tbh there is no rule of who gets of first, we have found its totally down to the cabin crew. Last year we were in PE downstairs and got off first, but they were not holding anybody back it was a total free for all. Well when I say first off, that's a lie, we were 2nd off after the front row of economy, but quickly overtook them in the walk through to the arrivals hall as they didn't know where they were going...

We have been up there a few times - with the configuration from LHR there is Upper Class at the front of the bubble, so we were allowed off with the rest of Upper Class. Downstairs the rear of the plane was held to allow Upper Class and the bubble off first.
They can't really hold the back rows of the bubble out of the aisle while the UC rows walk back past them.
So for us it's always been a positive experience. If some planes are configured differently it might not be the case though.

So looks like we made a good choice then! I know it's only a minor part of the trip but it d be great to get a head start at passport control!

It's our 60 days out this coming Monday. We're travelling PE so I was going to go for 19A&C which are directly in front of the exit door with the hope of being off before the bubble people come down. Is this the case or will we be held back and if that's the case maybe I should go for up in the bubble seats

that's the seats we were in last year and we got off 2nd, after the first row of economy right next to the door. We were first into the hall!

Got of using those seats outbound in the first 6 people in May good choice

We were upstairs last year and first off the plane - straight into an empty immigration hall.
It was amazing- we got through to baggage reclaim in about 5 minutes ........our bags arrived 50 minutes later

Ditto this. We had back row of the bubble right by the stairs. We were the 2nd and 3rd passengers off the plane. Straight through immigration. We were out of the airport and on our way to the hotel 35 minutes after landing. That alone was worth being in the bubble!

Really can't wait now, it's coming round so fast! Very organised this year got the remainder of our dollars yesterday and picked up a few sale summer clothes (looks like I did this just in time as shops are filling up with winter stuff now, boooo!)
Just need to book airport parking and buy a few bits from amazon or play, spare camera battery and memory cards etc...

24 days til our 60, and was wondering where abouts was the best seats to get, didn't even think about disembarking the plane, I want to try for the bubble (never been up there) but the wife wants to go to the back of the plane so we haven't got people walking past all the flight, but thatll mean last off wouldn't it?

It is quieter at the back of the plane but defiantly takes a long time to get off. I prefer being at the back for the way home, more likely to get a few hours sleep!

good idea doesn't matter on the way back and were on a night flight on the way home so back of the plane to get some sleep

and bubble on the way there? apart from getting off earlier any other advantages being up there?
