virgin bag drop off manchester

We are going to checkin online but have read in other forums about longer queues at the bag dropoff than there is to checkin.Or is it just a case of getting there early enough,we like to get there a few hours before.Not sure what to do now.

We checked in online in August for the 1st time. The next morning we got to the airport early as DH wanted seats with more leg room. We got them & NO queue at bag drop off

yes done bag drop a few times since they started it, great service, never been more than 1 family in front of us, we usually arrive 2 hours before take off. Same coming home, check in online then bag drop at airport, will be doing same again at Easter.

We too did the bag drop-off this year it was really easy We checked in on line from the lobby of the hotel we stayed at (free service) and took our stuff across on the morning of our flight and explained we were already checked in and we were directed to the bag drop desk. The staff were very efficient and friendly and we got through the airport in less than 5 minutes and off to our departure gate after having breakfast without a rush. Great way to start your journey and we'll definitely use this again

If you do check in online, do you need to print off your boarding passes? I have a computer but no printer-whats the procedure if you can't print off the boarding passes?

Went to Disney on Ice last night-I am SO up for this holiday now (DBF was a little startled by my insistence on singing along to Grim Grinning Ghosts and Tiki Room song though!)

You just check in but don't print your boarding cards, let them do it at bag drop. So far everytime I have printed them for Manchester tehy have torn them up and reprinted anyway, either the machine that reads own printed cards has been not working or the Virgin staff have not been happy with my print, too near edge of paper etc.
Coming home never printed my own as like you no printer just let them do it at bag drop.
We have been to 3 Disney on ice rest of family love them, I dont, just ice skating to a recording. Much prefer a theatre show.

I know what you mean about the theatre show-saw Lion King in NY a couple of years ago and I still get choked up remembering it, but I took my DBf (and my DNephs) cos it was the Incredibles at Disneyland-I told him it would help him recognise characters and learn about the rides (well that was my excuse). Trouble is, now he thinks all animatronic characters can dance around and BTMR is something you wear!

I know what you mean about the theatre show-saw Lion King in NY

Seen Lion King twice in London, Awesome show. We have a soft spot for Lion king as the film was released in 1994 same year DS was born.
We saw Beauty and the Beast in NY and again in Bradford(not quite the same )
Tried getting tickets for Mary Poppins before it goes on the road in Jan but no luck. Went to see Mamma Mia in Vegas last month that was amazing how they built it around Abba songs.
Saw Blood Brothers on Sat eve for 3rd time, booked to see Joseph and Dr Dolittle early next year, both for 2nd time.
oops there I go again, anyone mention theatre and I am away, can you tell I like the theatre?
