Just received Virgin/BA fuel surcharge refund claims forms this morning-I had completely forgotten about this. We (six of us) had three flights with Virgin during the claim window of 11/08/04-23/04 06 so I will return the forms and see what,if anything ,transpires.Anyone else heard anything?

Claim forms ?

I filled in a load of information online on the day after you could claim from, did you folks do that as well ?

The elligibility was interesting, as its not the flight dates that give you qualification, its the booking time, so with us, we have a flight that is a couple of months into the period, but we might not get it as we probably booked before the start date. Similarly, we have a flight about 4 months after the closing date, but we would have booked it way in advance, so we should get it.

Can people post on this board if/when they receive anything so we can get an insight into how long these things are taking to process.

Filled in the claim form online and now they have sent me a hard copy to fill in, exactly the same as the online one :confused3

As far as I understand it, the hard copy forms have been sent to those people who originally registered when it was first announced that we could claim. When I registered, I gave both mine and DH's details (Email address etc.) but with the online claim, only my details were given - we have both been sent hard copy forms so I can only assume that was a result of the first registration.

We received forms today too, we orignally filled them out online a while ago (last year sometime) and again more recently (last week). I'm sure i had to add more info on the ones last week than previoulsy. Is anyone filling in the hard copies as well as on line?

We received an email about it only a few weeks ago. I downloaded the forms and printed them out myself rather than doing it online or requesting them through the post. Then sent them to the London address.
Hopefully we should be able to claim for 2 trips, as although we travelled after the date band, the flights were booked within it. :thumbsup2
Here's hoping there's something for all of us to go towards the next hol ;)

The form I got was for DMIL and I don't recall putting her name down the first time :confused3

I got the forms through on Wednesday too. :)

I haven't got mine yet. If they don't come soon I will have to go and try filling in online.

We've only done ours online by putting in Flying Club numbers. Completed it on 3rd August.

Ours came last week as well. I'm not sure if DF and I need to fill in seperate forms as we have different surnames :confused3

Just bumping this up.

Has anyone received anything yet ?

Oh I'd completely forgotten about this and haven't filled mine in.

Do I do 2 as DF has a different surname?

My Mum mentioned she had a form the other day. I live in US and have had one too. I have to say I threw mine away. You would not believe the amount of class action lawsuits I seem to qualify for!! I can't see me turning into a millionaire by applying for them all.

I read several articles that seem to put the maximum amount per flight at 10 pounds. Which if you travel regularly seems worth going for. Though bear in mind if everyone signs up for it the pay out will drop. So I'll let you all fight over my 20 quid I could have had!

I wouldn't have thought you would not receive any pay out until the deadline has passed. The money then will be divided up amongst the qualifying applicants. Though that is just a guess. What was the deadline for it?

We filled in ours about two weeks ago.

DH, flies on BA twice a month to the USA on business and although the company pay for the flight, they are allowing employees to apply directly for the surcharges back. :)
DH only had to put in his BA Exec number on the phone with BA agent as he has a BA gold card (lucky duck), I had to fill in the forms!

Any money back will be a bonus and we will use for spends in WDW :thumbsup2

I think they have put a set amount aside to pay people off and it is up to people to claim. I probably have it the wrong way round but either in the US or UK whatever is left will go to charity, in the other it will just sit in a black hole. Either way I'm not holding my breath for getting it any time soon, I think the deadline was about 3 or 4 years timepirate:

Another bump....(i'll do this from time to time).

Anyone received any money yet ?
