Virgin Atlantic mobile check in

I will be on the road at our 24 hour on line check in point. I've had a quick look at the link to the mobile check in site. Here's my question. The screen that asks for flight ref and name. Do I have to do that 4 times, once for each of us. Bit nervous this won't work and we will be miles away from a PC! It says you get mobile boarding passes. Sounds good if it works. One less thing to lose!

You usually need to enter the reference for each person - I tend to use the copy & paste function on my phone to save the typing

You can only get mobile boarding passes if you check in individually and have a device each to receive it on. VA FAQ

If you’re a passenger travelling or checking in individually, you’ll be able to request mobile boarding pass. Each person must have their own boarding pass on a separate phone. Please be aware that some airports operate automated security and boarding gates where each passenger must be in possession of a single mobile boarding pass.

Thanks. While we have x4 i phones I think that sounds liable to go wrong I many ways with an 11 and 14 year old, so looks as though we won't leave home until half two. Oh well.

You can still use mobile check in as a group and just pick up paper boarding passes when you drop your cases off.

I have done this more than once as I don't like the idea of not checking in as a group incase we get separated.

Yes you can do that, no problem

We did that no problem last month

If you've prebooked seats and do online check in will your boarding passes print out with your correct seat numbers on? Would be annoying to print out boarding passes and find we have random seats!

When you have completed check in it will show you the seat numbers before you print any boarding cards. Sometimes you can change them others the seat map is locked.

Once you have printed your boarding passes you can no longer change your seats.
