OK so this is an odd one but does anyone who has flown recently know if the meal options are changing on Virgin? I read somewhere about them getting rid of the cheese and crackers but am now wondering if I imagined it!

yes no cheese and crackers on our flights last month was very disappointed

Thanks! This is the only part other than the bread roll my sister eats so she may have to start bringing her own food.

Anyone know if you're allowed to take cheese on the plane? I know you can't take it off in the US but can you bring on cheese sandwiches?

i think you can take anything on the plane as long as you get rid of it before you get off the other end

I like the cheese as well but no luck last month

Yep, cheese is OK on plane-not allowed into US though. I took cheese, crackers & grapes as neither I or the children eat 'plane food'.

They don't give out the small bottles of water now either - not really an issue - plenty of drinks available - we took a couple of our own bottles of water on too (don't think we drank them on the flight though)

Same here - on the way out it was a hot dish (I had the veggie macaroni), pasta salad (which was gross) and GU chocolate pudding (yum!), they brought around choc ices later and vile looking sandwich before you land.

I brought a sandwich from Starbucks on the plane on the way home but the food did look better then on the way out.
