Have just tried booking flights for April / May for 3 adults, 1 child, 1 infant. Flights show on first page with prices, but when I choose 'Book Now', it tells me flight is not available and to select alternative. This is same for VS027/VS016 and VS027/VS028.

However, when I change infant to child ie 3 adults, 2 children, the flights are then available, and offer me option of paying (with £200 extra charge for second 'child').

Does anyone have any idea why it is doing this? Is it a money making thing by Virgin? Would I have more luck if I phoned in the morning? Don't really want to pay extra for baby when he could go in a skycot, but if I can't get flights any other way I may have no choice? :confused3

I believe you have to call them when you want to book an infant. Price should be as it says when you enter correct details but you have to do it over phone. I have just booked with krismiles and had to add Seth on as an infant directly with Virgin. When I booked with Air New Zealand 2006 we couldnt book online because of Cullen not requiring a seat but at least the website told me I needed to ring.

Thanks, Kirsten. Will try ringing them later. :thumbsup2
