Virgin Atlantic - Air Passenger Duty refund for children.

Virgin Atlantic is pleased to confirm we will be refunding Air Passenger Duty already paid for children under 12, booked to fly in the economy cabin on or after 1 May 2015.

We will update our website in the next day or so with details on how impacted customers can apply for an APD refund.

Hopefully it will offset a little bit of what we paid to book seats in advance, either way it's always nice to get some money back

Great news! Our duty on a 3 year old was £261 out economy and back premium. Anything back is a bonus

Because the Chancellor only changed the rules for APD and children for those traveling in Economy

It will be interesting to see how much it is I can't see how much of our tickets were air passenger duty.

It is £71 per child under 12.

Again you will only get £71 back as ADP only relates to the outbound flight. Good job you are flying out E and back PE as if it was reversed you wouldn't get anything back

Anyone know when and how this is being refunded? Bit of a concern we paid using Virgin gift vouchers so they may want to refund vouchers which is kind of useless unless you are flying again soon.
