we are travelling as a party of six and they have only given us six labels, with 4 suitcases 1 buggy and 6 pieces of hand luggage im gonna need a few more

also ive got the voucher to exchange at guest services for the park tix,but i want REAL tickets to touch and look at:hyper: :hyper:

I emailed Virgin Atlantic and they sent me a bundle of luggage labels. Arrived this morning actually!

We have only got e tickets this year, so wont be getting luggage labels sent with tickets like normal.

If you are Frequent Virgins you can request the plastic luggage labels that are quite handy (but you only get 2!!).

ooh thanks for posting this - we also have e-tickets for December and I never thought about the luggage labels! Will email Virgin next month, thanks :Pinkbounc

I keep waiting for the tickets, the labels, the vouchers etc etc to arrive. When do Virgin send them?

We've booked and ordered everything already - it's only the tickets left to look forward to.

In the past I have telephoned the travel agents around 5/4 wks before my trip to find out if my tickets have arrived. If you have book through a travel agent in your town, the tickets do come early and the travel agents keep them at the office until 2 wks before your departure date, then phone you to arrange collection of your tickets.

I'm quite impatient so I like to call early to get my tickets and get them checked over for any mistakes.

Not sure what happens if you book directly with virgin.

as you can see from my counter we go next week and our tickets arrived at thomas cook today( ive been phoning them since last week tho!!)
this time next week we will be landing at mco:sunny: :sunny:

If you've booked direct with VH they normally arrive 10-14 days before you leave.

i cant wait till my tickets arrive

theres eight cases altogether i hope theres enough tags

I can never understand this demand for luggage lables!
All cases that are in the hold of a plane have a tag attached by checkin for identification, and that is what the handlers/groundstaff use for identification, even if your luggage is l.ost, ikts the unique id on each lable that is used.

As for hand luggage, why? You are not seperated from it!

:D

luggage lables are handy for if there are a few of the same kind of case coming off the plane so people can look at the labels and see if they are theres,

also last year i didnt have enough labels and the check in staff made me put them on before they would accept the cases

Better to identify your case some other way, as lables can come off. we use ident straps.

Never had a problem putting cases through check in without luggage lables myself. Strange how each airline has its little quirks

Can anyone explain exactly why people put luggage lables on hand luggage.

I have always wondered, as mine certainly never leaves my side, at least until all the money, cards etc are in the hotel safe.
