I know this has already been asked, but not sure what the answer was. Can I add DDP to my virgin booking? Or could Disney add it on for me if not?
Thanks

Virgin don't do the DDP. The only way you can get the DDP is if you book a fly drive with Virgin and book your accomodation and tickets with Disney.

Its weird if you got through the booking online for Pop Century this year it gives you two choices, room only and disney dining plan.

if they let you do it you have to put on your resse 5 days before arival.see you staying in aug,uk TA are not included in the free dinning plan if thats what made you think of it,have asked disney for outher pople who are going at same time as us(we booked with disney direct to get it) with a uk tour opperater

we booked the fly drive and then booked our tickets, accommodations and dining plan through disney and somehow it worked out slightly cheaper comparatively

I had the latest Thomas Cook Signatures brochure a few weeks ago and I'm sure you could book the DDP though them as long as you booked a package of room and tickets. Flights were with Virgin Atlantic as well.

I think the cost for the DDP was £21 per person per day.

Thanks for the info, I guess I'll know for next time!

I don't know when you are going and if you want to change your booking with Virgin, but if you do want the DDP, you could always amend your booking to a fly drive and then book your accomodation and tickets with Disney and add the DDP! :goodvibes

Thanks for all the information everyone! We travel at the end of May and have paid the balance of the holiday already! I will give virgin a call tomorrow and see if anything can be done.

We are also going in May with Virgin and would have liked to buy the plan - contacted Virgin throuhg our travel agent and they said they wouldn't do it. If you get a different answer please let me know! We are just resigned to sepnding lots of money on meals! Off on 19th May -can't wait!

Thanks to all for replies, have spoken to Virgin today and they confirmed that they don't do ddp anymore. Would have changed to fly drive, except that Disney don't have any rooms at ASM when we go. I costed out all of our ADRs and it comes in about $100 cheaper than the dining plan. I know we would get the counter service credits as well, but I think that we wouldn't want to spend extra money eating offsite when we had all those credits left and we do like Dennys for breakfast!

I got a letter today confirming that they no longer do the dining plan, but they have given me my deposit back it will be back in my account in about 7 days.

:cool1:

Just curious. Have Virgin said why they won't do the dining plan? :confused3

They told me it was because people had to buy tickets to disney world!!!!!! So they stopped selling it!!!!!!!!

I'm just curious how you managed to get your deposit back. Had you only just booked your package? :confused3
