I know I've heard about this and our neighbor said it might be good to do since we're going in late July- is it at every park- which park would be the best to do it- don't they take you to the front of the lines? Thanks

No offence but I think its just for VIPs-you know of the royalty/Michael Jackson type

no offense taken-just trying to beat the crowds-looked it up- way too expensive- $125/hour-that's ridiculous!!

There are different types of tours. And no - Michael Jackson type thing can be booked by anybody. You'll pay RIDICULOUS amounts of money, but it can be done. For an hourly rate, and a minimum of (I believe) 3 hours, you can hire your own VIP tour guide who will take you through the park.

Then there are backstage tours that are also pretty neat. At the Magic Kingdom, they have the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. It's a 5 hour walking tour, including lunch that gets you on a few rides as well as into some backstage areas including the utilidors. They have very similar tours at Epcot, the Disney Studios, and Animal Kingdom. They also have some other, more specialized tours. For example, at Epcot you can do the Segway tour. For all of those tours, you need park admission. There's also the granddaddy of all the backstage tours. I'm drawing a blank on the name (i want to say the backstage magic tour)- but it's a 7 hour tour that gets you into three parks (it doesn't go into Animal Kingdom unless they've since updated it...). It costs about $200 per person, but you do NOT need theme park admission for that one.

Here's some more info on all the available backstage tours:

The link is

Very, very expensive on top of an already potentially pricey trip!

$100 an hour, 4 hour minimum with an additional 20% gratuity(if I understand their wording correctly!) and $45 planning fees per day.

pennyplanner, your link is to a "private" VIP tour guide service. Disney also provides this service.

Just wanted to be clear on that for others who may be interested in using one of these services.

Disney charges 125.00 an hour with a minimum of 6 hours. The page linked says there "may be" a discount available to Disney resort guests. Hmm. Anyone know how much of a discount? lol
