Hi all, I've found some conflicting information about this...

Does the VIP tour at USH still include early access to Super Nintendo world before regular park opening hours?

How/where can we pick up the VIP lanyards before the park is open? Can we still eat at the snack buffet check-in area before the tour starts?

UT website looks like it sells VIP tickets almost $100/ticket cheaper than on Universal website. Is this correct? Seems like a massive discount!

We are planning to go Feb 2025 during Presidents Day long weekend so I'm thinking it will be busy. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated :-)

I don’t think it does include early access, but I have to admit I never asked. I always preferred to relax in vip lounge.

You pick up lanyards at vip lounge, which can be accessed to the right of the main entrance, before you enter. Yes, you still get some food and drinks while you wait for tour, or you can go explore the park depending on how early you get there. You also still get the nice lunch.

I have not seen $100 discounts before per person. It’s typically $20 to $50 discount per person.

If you get vip tour you should have no issue to see everything you want to see, no matter the date. The guides will take you backstage or through other routes to minimize your wait time as needed. I usually recommend doing the lower lot first thing, but with a vip tour, you are led by the guide.

I don't think that the VIP tour includes early access to SNW, but you WILL go into SNW during your VIP tour and ride Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge with no wait. You'll get a VIP lanyard that allows you to return to SNW later during the day and ride it again as many times as you want. Given the price you are spending on the VIP tour, you don't need to pay extra or arrive early for SNW.

For the tour, there is a separate VIP entrance to the right of the entrance turnstiles; I am not sure what time it opens. They serve a small breakfast selection before your tour and a full lunch in a separate location.

I bought VIP tickets through Undercover Tourist, and yes, they are legit and discounted. It doesn't really matter what tour time you select; you'll hit every ride and get preferred viewing at WaterWorld. The tour doesn't last all day, so you can repeat any rides you want to do again once your tour is done using the Express line. It was one of my favorite ways to do Universal Hollywood and would do it again in a heartbeat if you have the money for it.

It does not include early access I booked a 10am tour and early access for Mario… picked up my vip fast pass lanyard at the entrance and went straight back to Mario… did all the power band things and booked toads as soon as booking opened at 9am after power bands we tried to do Mario kart but it went down… then went to our toads reservation. Did Mario until our tour started at 10 (went to lounge at 945).

Please note even with the fast pass due to where you join the line it can take 30 minutes to do Mario sometimes more… it’s a horribly designed Que and fast pass system for that ride… was a huge topic we discussed with our VIP guide

I didn't find the queue to be horribly designed at all - the problem is that everyone has to go through the pre-ride shows/info bits that do, yes, take a long time. I think we clocked it at about 22 min per Mario ride. You can't skip those parts, you just skip the super long, super windy queue (though you do miss some of the awesome decor!

There was such a crush of people when we went it was nuts… felt very unsafe so packed together on the stairs after you get your head sets. It was wall to wall… I think it would make more sense to have lanes with dividers along the route to keep things more orderly…. Once we waited 47 minutes from the merge point to get on the ride.

I am not a fan of the queue for Mario Kart either in terms of time spent in it. Not completely the queue's fault, it's that the ride is so slow loading.

Even during the VIP tour, there is a good to high chance you will be waiting 20+ minutes to get on, if you have the express pass, it's probably closer to 30+ minutes at least (on a busy day, the VIP guide was able to bypass a small part of the queue, but no guarantees!)

Honestly, the ride isn't the greatest after a couple times, and the queue in the castle is way more interesting (similar to how the castle at hogwarts is so neat)
