Hi all,

For my upcoming vacation (10 days left! :D ) I was e-mailing with WDW guest services to arrange something. Unfortunately they couldn't arrange what I wanted, but instead they offered me VIP passes for the FoF parade on our first day there.

Initially I thought it was the FP+ spot. But then I read that I have to give my name to the CM standing there and it's the bridge to Liberty Square area, near the left side of Cinderella Castle. This is not the same as the FP+-spot, right? That's still near the flag pole, if I'm not mistaken.

When I looked at the map, it should be the spot where the photopass people are during the rest of the day.

Anyone ever got this, and how was the spot? How many people were there with you? Did you consider it a good spot (if it has the castle in the background, I am happy with that), or would you chose another spot.

TIA!

CM will have a list from GR as to who is booked in Bridge Viewing for the parade. Area has 8 benches for seating and generally holds "up to" about 28 guests, but usually not always full. Does not have a Castle view, particularly if you are going soon, as there are construction walls on the same side as the viewing area and across from it also. Some will be coming down in the near future but probably not until later in September. I haven't been back in the park since late July and won't be back until about the 2 week of Sep., so not real sure the current status of the construction.

As far as to where it is, it is approximately halfway between the HUB and Liberty Sq. on the Adventureland side of the bridge. Photopass is usually on the Liberty Sq. end of the bridge near Sleepy Hollow, not at the middle of the bridge.

Hope this helps.

Got to experience this last trip, it was one of the highlights of the trip. A few of the characters came right up to me and my gf (goofy covered my eyes for a pic). it was fantastic.

Thank you so much for your replies, it definitely helps!
We will see the parade at least twice, so for the second time, we can chose another spot with the castle in the back. Depending on where the construction is going on, of course :)

I would love to see pictures of the parade made from this spot, do you have any pics online you can share?

Thank you it looks amazing!

What happened to Mr. Smee? Felt seasick and was taken out of the parade?

It was amazing! It was so nice to be able to sit in the shade. They don't over book it either, so it's not at all crowded. We got there about 20 minutes early to get a front row bench, but some people didn't show up till 5 minutes before!

And that's so funny about Mr. Smee! I totally didn't notice that until you said something!!

Why do you say that?

How can you tell he's not in the parade just from those few photo angles?

Look at the 2nd pic, it looks like a parade CM is carrying Mr. Smee to a place out of sight of guests. Left of Captain Hook, in the background.

In the picture above with Tinker Bell (float) in it, there are construction walls on both sides of the bridge (assume they are still there as I have been gone for about 3 weeks and they were supposed to be up until late Sep. to mid Oct. time frame) from the corner where the rope is attached down to the HUB and the Gazebo on the far left is gone. Same with the rail area behind Hook on the Castle side, construction wall there also.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the cost of this VIP viewing area? Is it per person or is it priced as a group?

I'm going to assume this is one of those Pixie Dust things that you can't buy your way into.

As for Mr. Smee...we once saw one of the mice have a "wardrobe malfunction" during MSEP and she was escorted off the parade route quickly.

Bridge Viewing is a set aside area for the use of Guest Relations either for GR guided tours, "celebrity" guests (I had an NBA player and his family a few weeks ago when I worked it) and several other criteria which I can't go in to. Not a "pay for view" area, with the exception of the GR guided tours obviously.

Oh, secrets! I understand that you can't discuss but that makes me even more curious.
