Hello,

I´ve just read on the Disney.uk site:

Enjoy unlimited access to the FASTPASS® line and skip the queue during your stay. As a Suites or Castle Club Guest or Empire State Club (until March 23, 2016), you'll board within a matter of minutes to the attractions that offer the FASTPASS® service (only available at Disneyland® Hotel, Disney's Hotel New York®, Disney's Newport Bay Club® and Disney's Sequoia Lodge®).

So no more VIP fastpass at the HNY.

There are still some VIP fastpasses to buy on the internet so perhaps we should mention which one are valid right now to avoid buying these passes.

There are three different types at the moment:

The normal one (available for everyone)

The Hotel Fastpass

The yellow VIP Fastpass (with handwritten dates)

The VIP Fastpass for suites

Which is available/valid at the moment, apart from the normal one?

Is it safe buying/using the yellow one?

Do I need the hotel-easy pass with the suites VIP fastpass?

As I understand it the yellow handwritten ones as indicated above are not issued or accepted any more.

There is also an intermediate type: Hotel FastPass which is issued to guests in normal rooms at the Disneyland Hotel. This is printed on yellow paper in the same style as meal plan vouchers. It's dated with one per day of your stay for each guest, not valid between 1300 and 1600, usable at any attraction that has FastPass operating, and must be surrendered when used.

You are right. I forgot the hotel Fastpass.

Edit of first post

Yes, that is correct. VIP FP are no longer given out with HNY Empire State Club bookings from March 2016. In my opinion, the prices have changed to reflect this (or at least what I have priced up). There are quite a few people who booked ESC before this came into effect and they have been told that their VP will be honoured, but new bookings won't.

And yes, paper VIP FP bought off the likes of ebay will no longer work.

The only way to get a VIP FP is to book a suite in the higher end hotels (inc Sequoia Lodge) or Castle Club at the DLH.

The Hotel VIP FASTPASSES now have your name and booking reference number printed on them.

Hello,
I m interested in buying one of this Fastpass eBay.http://abload.de/image.php?img=vippas9eob8.jpg
It's the purple one issue by Disneyland hotel. The ticket sold on eBay has only the expiration date on it ,no data about reference and so on.Have you seen the one with the reference number printed on them?
If yes can you show me one.Hope you can help me .We are 4 and we don t want to wait in lines.
Thank you Michael

These are stolen tickets and will more than likely be confiscated from you if you tried to use it in the park. You also risk being ejected from the park if you use it.

Michael - in the past it was considered that these passes were 'taken' or 'stolen' as Jonjo says, however, there were stories of CMs being given them as rewards to use (for close family etc) but then they sold them on. I'm not sure which is true but there have been reports of people having passes confiscated recently.

DLP has changed the way they issue VIP FPs specifically (in my opinion) to try and crack down on these passes on ebay.

I personally would not risk it now.

Printed VIP Fastpass are issued only when you book an eligible room a few days before check-in (when they assign rooms)

If you book a room last-minute, of buy an upsell at check-in, they still need to give you handwritten VIP FP (because they cannot print them at the desk)

On another topic, DLP used to sell “Premium FP” that behaved the same (available at City Hall for 60€/day/guest IIRC) but they stopped selling those.

I guess you have the yellow VIP Fastpass (see first post above).

This one is no longer accepted and please do not use it because you might be in trouble using it.
