Violent Tigger?

I really think this kid looks like hes trying to mess with Tigger. Hes standing a little too far away, hes coming in late to the picture, and he has a really punky looking smurk. Also there looks to be a small fence behind them all, so I'm wondering if the kid pulled on him did he think he was going to fall over. Or if he was pulling just right he could have been choking Tigger. This kid deffinately looks guilty to me.

I just got a mental image of Tigger sitting on a witness stand trying to be all calm and trustworthy and giving his side of the story.

Now that you say that, I can see it too!! Hahahahahaha You just know that family is gonna get $$$ outta this! They made it out to be that Tigger mauled him...oh well I guess people will do anything for a buck.

Another CM familiar with the situation was on a local radio show this morning. She stated that the kid was basically choking "Tigger" (she used his first name), and this was his reaction to get the kid off. Suspiciously, the kid was offered medical attention three times, but the family turned it down; they didn't complain until after they returned to their room and watched the tape.

Hoping Disney is smart enough to fight here.

The kid obviously does something to Tigger but Tigger should have just pulled away or knocked his hand away rather than sock him.

I watched it a few times and here is what I saw.... To me it looks like the boy is grabbing tigger. Whether it has malicious intent or not, I don't know. Then it looks to me like they both lost their balance a bit and tigger was swinging to grab the kid or swinging to catch his balance. It doesn't look like a punch to me. To me it looks like it could very well be accidental contact. Because right after they look like they are falling, and then he hits him in the face, he immediately grabs his arm as if to catch him from falling. That is my take on it.

I think they are grubbing for money, which they will get.

I agree it could be accidental due to loss of balance. I did not study the video over and over and only am seeing one perspective so it is just IMHO.

Looks to me like Tiggers feet are right back up against the bricks not a good starting point for keeping your balance. It also looks to me like Tigger is going backwards a bit. If he did loose his balance, the boys arm is already beneath his, he turns with an open hand to grab something, the hand just happens to be level with the kids face. Plus he seems to try to hold on to the kid and at the very end seems to pat him on the back like"you ok". I am not familiar with the current costume but wore it one day 25 yrs ago and it was hard in Tigger to have a since of place of everything esp at that time looking down out the mouth at peoples belt buckles. I accidentily clocked a girl in the face with the nose. She was coming up on my left and there was several girls yelling hey Tigger over here. I didn't realize how close they where since there was absolutley no peripheral vision and I guess the ones yelling where further away then the one I hit. But, when I turned to toward them one was already there and My nose got her pretty good I'm sorry to say.

Tigger claims self defense.. Said the boy grabbed his costume in a way that caused him to choke.... And now they are seeking monetary damages... Pathetic....

I agree with you all! Tigger is trying to keep the kid from hurting him or taking off his costume. drdelsol says that it is hard to see in the costume so Tigger/Micheal feels the kid messing with him and tries to stop it. My husband says it was a move to get the kid off of him. The kid this morning on CBS Early Show says he was still hurting, but the meds he was taking were helping. What a bunch of nonsence. He seemed like he was acting to me. Go Tigger we support you in our house. Disney I hope wiil have a clear head in the whole matter.

The fist thing I noticed when I sw the video on our local news was both Tigger and the kid losing their balance. So when I heard the story that the kid was supposedly grabbing the back of the costume I can guess that Tigger was being choked and when he reacted he lost his balance pulling the kis who was still grabbing with him. The unfortunate thing is the family is now going to probably get a large settlement. Noe because Tigger was being purposly violent but because a family can't control their bratty teenager.

I noticed, too, how the kid was dressed like a "punk" at the park...with the pants that hang down below the be-hind.....yet in interviews, they have him dressed to look younger. Really sad that people get away with this junk.
On our last Disney cruise, we saw a woman being pushed in a wheelchair, all over the ship. Found out that she'd gotten some kind of settlement from Disney for an "accident" in the parks. We then saw her on one of the islands, hiking to the top of a fort.....and it was a heck of a climb! I took her picture, I just wish I knew who to send it to....what a fraud!

The lack of character and integrity in some people really is sad. We wonder where all the jerks come from, and then we see a father teaching his son a lesson like this.

Pretty typical method of making someone look innocent in the publics eyes. Criminal lawyers do it all the time. They will take a degenerate lowlife criminal that committed a vicious crime {not that this kid is one of those }Clean him up and make him look like an innocent angel. The jury falls for it every time.......

Warning: This is a soapbox rant!

The victim's story always makes good news, truth or not. If it's not the truth, if it comes out alt all is either never told or back page news. There is always a lawyer who will jump at the chance to get you (and themselves) money. As I type this reply, I just saw a commercial for an personal injury legal group advertising "We'll get you all the money you deserve". Do I think some people deserve compensation sometimes - yes. The person in Florida who had the wrong leg amputated - yea, that's negligance.

But come on - the woman who sued because she was stupid enough to put hot coffee between her legs and got burned, people who recently tried to sue fast food restaurants because it made them fat, criminals who come into a house to rob a family and then sue (and win) because they got hurt in the house? Every thing bad that happens to someone seems to have become a "who can I blame (certainly is not MY fault)" and "how much money can I get out of it?" That's where we are these days, and common sense doesn't seem to apply.

I haven't seen the video, nor do I care to. I can't even imagine the amount of money Disney has had to pay over the years to just plain stupid people. The person on SM who stood up in the middle of the ride, people who died riding MS because of undiagnosed heart problems, even though they put a bazillon warning signs on rides. I am not trivializing anyone's death at all - it was a terrible tragity - but it certainly iwasn't Disney's fault. And I'm sure their families got money. Is there legitimate cases where Disney is at fault? I'm sure. But I'm sure that more cases are not. To save their reputation, they just pay and move on.

To be sure, they'd probably be able to find 12 people who would rule that Tigger assaulted that "poor young man". The way juries are selected these days certainly doesn't rule that out.
But I hope Disney dosen't cave in and just settle this. They MIGHT get lucky and find 12 people who--like most of us--see this for what it really is. With more luck, maybe the family and the lawyer might notice all the negative publicity THEY seem to be getting and decide to let the whole matter drop.

Ok so where was the CM guide for Tigger during this altercation. Man they are like always there telling people what not to do and to wait your turn. I always thought that this was one of their biggest purposes was to protect the person in the costume.

The kid is so obvious a trouble maker. You could see he is doing something and grabing the back of the costume. He has a smartass look on his face. The family is white trash looking to make a quick buck.

I have a very strange talent of judging character and this kid is trouble and the father is not so great either. I don't know where I got this talent from, but it is uncanny how accurate it is. Sometimes it almost feels like a burden, but it is very accurate.

The kid and the father are bad news.
