Face it where are all exposed to it. It's in television shows, songs, movies and places where we experience it oursleves... homes and school. We just don't realize that it's there in movies and shows and songs. But there are many types of violence some are more obvious than others.

When there are fights in movies and at school people start getting almost excited and they want to watch the fight. But we just don't realize what the outcome will be or is. In the end people get hurt and maybe even killed.

I am watching a movie in health and it's called "tagged" it takes place in Guelph at my school. This kid tries to stop all the fights and the bully's from picking on the kids but he got into many fights with the bullies. The bully kicked the kid so hard in the head that he went into acoma and he went brain dead.

That's where people start to realize that fights are normally the cause of death and very serious injuries. And yet the bullies can just walk away from it all.

I don't get it at all....

Some girl and her brother sent a kid to the hospital in a fight.

Wow, someone's finally brought this up... It's true that we're all exposed to this, and it's really sad but, most violence is inspired by the media. It's really sad because everyone has to be like Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt, killing people and being cool. But you don't have to be. They think that because they're famous. But if you haven't noticed, not all people are famous because they're cool. They're famous because they contributed somthing to this world which everyone would know. You should never try to be "cool", you should always just be yourself. You're cooler when you don't act like somebody else. And drugs aren't cool, too. Just because 50 Cent or another dumb rapper does, it doesn't mean you have to. They've thrown their lives away, do you really want to?

There was almost a fight today in lunch. All the guys wanted it to happen, because it was between three very hot women.

idk maybe i live in a sheltered world or something. But I dont see many fights. Like yea the guys fight but not real seriously. and i think girls fight a lot more. and i dont mean just by yelling at each other. but i have never seen or heard of anything that serious.

Girls are getting to be almost as bad as guys for fighting.

Girls in my school are way heavy on the drama. There are verbal fights going on all the time. Boys just hit each other and it's over with.

Girls are actually worse than guys. When you count in fighting with words, girls just blow by guys.

I haven't witnessed any fights where people have gotten physically injured, but verbal fights and drama and all that (yes, you guessed it, amongst girls of course) happen all the time, every day.

Teachers at my school WILL NOT stop a girl fight. Guys just talk to each other and stand tehre and hit each other. girls go all out. Biting, kicking, grabbing, pulling. It gets seriously messy. And if two girls get into it, they're friends will jump in.

I've seen some SERIOUSLY horrible fights at my school. three guys jumped one guy last year. the one guy that got jummped (alex) won. He put those guys to shame. That one was int eh bottom of the stair well adn half the school (including me) went down there to see what was happening. I seriously thought alex was going to be hurt, I was wrong.

Two girls got into two fights in 5 minutes of each other. those got messy. I was called in as witness to both. (the girl who won is one of my friends, I was walking with her when it happened)

Two girls got in a bloody fight in teh hall way last year. RIGHT as I was going to class.

My best friend and his best friend nearly jumped one guy THREE times in one day. (all of the time I was just trying to go to class) that one didn't turn out badly. just a lot of very mean words coming from my best friend's mouth. ;)

Those are just the fwe that come to mind. There are so many more.

Being a bully is quite different from a couple of people just fighting. When a group of people find one person to pick on, the group is made up of a bunch of cowards, honestly. They know they couldn't do it by themselves so they get a group and feel they are powerful.

Fighting is human nature. It goes along with emotion. If you're upset or mad enough to actually fight someone else. Go for it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with 1 on 1 fighting. Just be prepared to suffer the consequences such as getting arrested or having things broken.

Sorry, just wanted to point out that Tom Hanks doesn't really kill people in movies, but Tom CRUISE does.

And there haven't been tht many fights here. Not that I'm around when most of them happen, but...

When two people get in a fight and I'm there, it literally makes me sick to my stomach. In sixth grade, one guy was waiting outside our math class to beat up one of the boys in my class, and the thing was, no one helped the second guy. It was so sick. He came in with a HUGE bruise that was swelling on his forehead, and it was just awful. And the worst thing was, the kids in the hall were LAUGHING. They were laughing while he got beat up. My school is terrible... :guilty:

Violence is humanity. Sad to say, but it is. Violence is what makes us animals. The lack of teh ablitly to supress that emotion/action is what takes us back to the stone age. and until we can over come that and are able to supress those violent thoughts we will NOT leave the stone age.

"The use of tools separates us from animals" is a statement that people came up with to comfort themselves. this is wrong. Animals use tools. so what does separate us from animals? Are we even separated? Are we all teh same? These are the questions that bite at the back of the minds of scientists and even the adverage person.

Some people say emotion is what separates us. VIOLENCE IS DRIVEN BY EMOTION. Animals have emotions. I've seen animals die of a broken heart. I've seen people die of that to...

The cold hard truth is that people ARE animals. we may walk on two legs, we may communicate, and we may make beautiful things, but we are still animals. But tehre is something that*could* separate us. If we could ever over come violence, then we would truely be different.

overcoming violence isn't not hitting that person when you want to, it is not wanting to in the first place. it is not having violent thoughts or feelings or urges. Even the calmest person you've seen will still become violent, and animal like if prevoked.

Fighting for sport goes back millions of years. When people would fight lions and beasts in rings and rings of spectators. The animal blood lust drive is one that is the most difficult to resist. a person in a blood lust is uncapable of intelligent thought or reasoning. Blood lust was used in tehse sports. The animal (not human) In the ring was enticed into a fitted frenzy of violence and anger and rage. for one thing. blood. The human *usually a slave* fought for their life.

This is seen in everyday life today too. two people fighting to prove who is the better fighter. Movies like "fightclub" show this too. now look at me and tell me that people aren't animals and that violence isn't part of our nature.

In short. Violence=animal. but in turn, animal=human. so if the mathematical theory works, violence=human.
