I agree with you - I can't figure them out myself. The entire concept my be entirely over my head!

I don't get the craze either. There's a couple that Kari wants to get, the Epcot, Frontierland, and the mini Little Mermaid one cause Flounder is on the front. But I'm not going to let her waste any money on those things.
I also don't get the whole kooky pens. Looks like something you should get as a toy at McD's.

I think they're pretty cute! I have the "Mine, Mine" larger one and a couple of the smaller ones. I brought one of the smaller ones with me here to Kuwait and he sits on my dresser. Always makes me smile when I see it!

They're sold in a sealed box so you don't know what you're getting. My husband was too cheap to buy an entire set at once so he spent a week at the parks trying to buy the whole set one at a time.

BTW, he ended up spending way more on them than he would have had be bought the entire set to begin with.

we have a few. My kids love them. I like some of them. Of course we always end up with duplicates. I with they had a trader box at the stores with them so we could do that.

I think they are really cute but not enough to buy them or collect them. Granted I have a crazy obsession with the different types of mr. potato head too so maybe I'm not the best person to ask!

We discovered these our last night while at Mouse Gears in Epcot. The CM explained the entire "addiction" to us and we bought one. The next day we bought two more before we left WDW and we commented that thankfully we didn't discover them until so late in our stay. I fear we would have ended up with more than just three!!!

Ironically, we ended up with two of the same Test Track little Mickey! However, my DD took one back to college with her and I put the other one on my window sill over my kitchen sink. I think they are adorable.

I first heard about it when I read someone's TR. She wanted to get all the Vinylmation pins. Name escapes me at the moment.

My boyfriend really likes it for some reason. I think some of them are cute while others are a little frightening. I hope DBF just continues liking them and examining them from afar and not actually buying them! College loans, e-ring, wedding, Disneymoon, apt ... those are more important! After that, he wants one of those fancy SLR cameras to take pics, esp at Disney.

Then after all that, he can buy whatever Vinylmation he wants, haha.

i guess its kinda like the pokemon cards obsession. thankfully i didnt get that either! i've collected so many mickey items they are appearing in more rooms than my mickey room, so i dont think i'll get into the vinyles...but never say never - i might see one that catches my eye.

The next time I'm there, I'm buying the large one you can paint yourself. I think it would be a lot of fun, to do.

i ended up buying two as my only souvenirs from disneyland. i got lucky and got 2 pixar ones, mike wazowski and the green alien guy.

some of the other ones i think are really weird and ugly.
