Vinyl placemats and stuck on stickers!

Hello friends, I bought these adorable placemats the other day and unfortunately they stuck stickers with the UPC code on the front and on the back, I've tried soaking them and the glue just won't come off. Does anyone know if anything will take it off?

i tried this with stickers on picture frames..i used nail polish remover

I'd carefully try out a little nail polish remover. It takes all kinds of sticky gunky stuff off.

Try Skin So Soft by Avon. I have used it many times on sticker residue.

This is what I was going suggest.

A couple days ago, I stuck a nametag sticker on one of my daycare girls -- right on top of a vinyl sticker she had on her outfit. When I tried to remove the nametag -- it was stuck good. The only thing I found to work was goo-gone. It worked like a charm.

Peanut butter. It may soften the adhesive without damaging the placemat. It's worth a try. Just slather some on and let it sit for a while.

The company I work for makes something called Detachol. It's primary use is in hospitals to take tape off of patients but we all use it to take tape and stickers off items!

wow, thanks guys I had no idea what to use, I asked my mom and she pulled out this bottle of windex that I swear appeared to be from 1975,ahaha So I said I would ask my Disney friends and look at that, you guys are a big help!

olive and baby oil have worked for me in the past

I love Goof Off. It will also remove the residue from shirts where the little darlings forgot to remove the sticker on their shirt before it was washed and dried!

Goo Gone makes a product called "Sticker Lifter" that comes with a plastic scraper specifically for this!

Too late now, but next time, before you start scraping and ripping a sticker, warm it up with a hair dryer, then SLOWLY peel the sticker back while it's hot. I learned this when I worked at Waldenbooks; we used to do this when we would gift wrap the bargain books. If there is any residue left, Goo Gone or Sticker Lifter (just a tiny amount) will take it right off.
