My Holly Hobbie blue Easy Bake oven and my Holly Hobbie cling thingies. They came in a box, and there was a scene on a board that you could put the clings on. Oh, what were those called? :headache:

I loved those to they were called colorforms! :flower:

What in God's name is Tony the Pony? Sounds like a bad "naughty movie" name.

Ok...DW was telling me about this doll she had as a kid that, when you turned her arms in one direction, her...um....chest got just a bit more "full", and when you turned them in the other direction, they, well, "shrank"...Personally, i thought she was nuts, but this thread inspired me to see...and yep, the doll existed:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That is pretty weird!

Here's what it says:

One of the most controversial dolls in 1975, just about every newspaper in the U.S.A. carried a story about her, some women's groups & a few parents wrote to complain, but with sales expected at 1 1/2 million, the doll must go on to market. She's 9" tall, long platinum or reddish blonde hair, curled end flip. "She's Two dolls in One" when you turn the left arm she grows a modest bust line, slimmer waist and becomes 3/4" taller. (turning the arm back again reverts to the previous shape doll). Included are a red headband, red body suit, blue collar, blue scarf, red socks, red flats, white platform shoes, two red, white plaid skirts, one short, one long.

Ok, I've never seen one of those, but that thing is FREAKING ME OUT!!! The eyes change colors. Just what I want, a doll that has eyes that change and will come to life at night and get me. :earseek:

Yeah I think it is soo cool. They look like Christina Ricci. I would love to have an original one from 72. And Rick I wouldn't taste it, I don't eat anything over a year old. Except for furry little animals of course.

Danvers,
Great pics, you bring back some great memories.
California Raisins - Brothers favorite
Fraggle Rock - just bought the DVD at Walmart
Garbage Pail Kids - all time favorite available now at Walmart

My sister had (well still has somewhere) that very doll.

She was so cool - and I don't think we really thought so much about her ... um chest growing as much as that she got taller and thinner.

Until my mom made us go get it to show one of her friends and they laughed about the breasts growing and then I got it... I was so innocent.

And as a child I so wanted the little people hospital and never got it -- UNTIL NOW -- I scoured Good Will and Flea Markets until I now have the whole hospital set ... and several other houses, people, animals and vehicles ... that my husband is now forcing me to get rid of -- except for the hospital - that I will keep

Chatty Cathy. (still have her)
Lincoln Logs.
Tinker Toys.

Six Million Dollar man doll

Evel Knievel (white uniform and blue uniform)

Action Jackson

GI Joe's with kung foo grip

Erector sets

My sis has a friend that inherited a house and all it's contents from a lady he had befriended at bingo. When he went to check out the house he was blown away. The house is one big toy store circa 1950-1970. The lady had a daughter with downs syndrome and they bought her every toy possible. She could not or did not play with anything and almost all of them are still in the orig. packaging and sealed. Crissy doll, Dawn dolls, Barbies, Blythe doll, tonka trucks, board games, you name it, it's there. The friend was going to have a garage sale, then was going to give to goodwill/salvation army, but when my sister saw everything she about sh*t and told him the contents of the house were worth MORE than the house itself! They were going to list on Ebay and then donate the $ to charity but once they started going through closets and under the beds they realized it would be WAY too much to handle. Now he's decided to have an auction and donate the $.
One of the dolls, I'm not sure which was going for over $400 on ebay! If I find out how much the auction brings in I'll post it.

The first thing I thought was "Man, that would pay for one h*ll of a Disney Vacation." But I'm glad that he has decided to give it to charity. Maybe I'll mention the 'Give Kids The World' foundation.

oh! I used to love the old shrinky dinks that you could color then put in the oven!

I loved shrinky dinks and those metal/plastic suncatchers you made in the oven. I can't tell you how many cookie sheets I ruined making these!

I have this doll. No clothes though. Somewhere alone the way she became a stripper. :earseek:

I remember playing with Barbie Townhouse -- three floors with an elevator.

Also, the metal roller coaster that worked with batteries. This is ealry 70's.

Tony the pony was great. He was this ride on horse that had a battery (like a car battery. He was a preview to the first electric/motor powered cars that the kids have today.
