Vintage Cartoons? BLT and BC

Hi All:

My kids love watching those old vintage cartoons they have playing in the lobby and once played on the room channels as well...

We have not been able to watch them the past few times we have been there...A DVC CM told us they took the channel away to make way for more ESPN choices...I filed a complaint...

Has anyone had any luck finding the cartoons in room recently? We would love to know if any of you have found them at either BLT or the BC.

My kids love watching them too. I have not seen them at WDW anymore, but they play them on the Disney cruise.

the only place that I have seem them is in the lobby - on the kid's TV.

who do you file a complaint with - the last thing and I mean the last thing I need is more &&& sports TV.

hate sports tv - especially at Disney

They were playing on the tv at ASMo in April. They have one of the old style tvs there. Not the new flat screen kind. I wish they would still play it in all of the resorts.

Yep, stayed at BLT in November and only on the lobby TV. So we put the kids PJs on and they went down to the lobby and watched them there for about an hour. They took their blanket and favorite dollbaby with them and just chilled in the lobby. I think if we all did that, they might get the hint.

they still play them at VB...and I'm pretty sure at OKW

My kids enjoyed watching them in the lobby of Kidani in December. OK - maybe we need a sit-in and everyone park their hineys in the lobby, order food and drinks and just stay there!

I haven't seen them in the room since Jan 2009. It was at all star movies. When we stayed at SSR that Sept they were not playing in the room. I don't have kids, but FB and I miss them a LOT and have made sure to tell the lobby of the resort we are at. I have no idea if they care, but we miss it enough to need to tell someone.
In reply to a previous poster, we were at OKW in march and they did not have them there either.

Translation: You should be out spending money not sitting in your room with your kids appeased by the TV.

We bring our own TV entertainment. We use the Disney channels for weather only.

My kids also loved these. They did not have them in the FW cabins last week or any of the places we have stayed in the past few years. We were able to but the DVDs in the parks.

I've never looked through their catelogs, but I bet the community centers have all kinds of Disney movies in their DVD libraries. Pick one up and make your own cartoon channel.

The cartoons were a good way for the kids to relax after a long day...Get into PJs and relax before going to sleep...We are sad that tradition is gone...

We rent the movies since they are free to DVC members but it is a pain to return them the next day by 10 am if we are leaving early to go to a park or for an ADR (whihc is often the case).

The cartoons were right there, 24/7 with no return rules

Member Services...I called and wrote in on three different surveys we received after our last couple of trips.

The Contemporary still had the classic cartoon channel 96 in all of their rooms as of August 2010, so I would be surprised if Bay Lake Tower didn't have it.

Surprise! No cartoons in BLT

We really missed them once again...The kids love to watch as the unwind from the day.
