Vinlymation trading?

Ok absolutely new to trading, didn't do any pin trading either.


How does the vinlymation trading work in DLP?
Can you trade any figure from any series with a different series? And where would you trade?
Would it b cheeky to buy a few cheaply ones off ebay before go to get me started with the trading?

Any info on it would be great thanks

Hi!

My son is more of a collector than a trader, he pretty much keeps everything unless its a duplicate from a mystery box. There are several locations both in the parks and Disney village, so if you're interested in trading, check them all if you can before you do.

Back in the states, they use these black boxes for you to choose a mystery Vinyl from the ones they have, but at DLP they just let you pick whichever it is you want.

DS traded new in box Phineas and Ferb Vinyls back in February, and the CM was so excited to see them as they don't sell them over here (they were ChristmS gifts from the states, but already had them) ...and the guy standing next to us snatched them up immediately. Lol so be sure to check all the shops, there are good ones to be had!

And while its a bit sneaky, I also buy clearance/cheap Vinyls for DS to trade. I paid for them, they're new...albeit cheap...and he wants to trade them. So I guess it's ok. I ordered some $3 ones online and will be trading them next month...They're US ones, so maybe I'm doing someone a favor. Lol ...so you can trade any kind you have (the regular ones, not the really big ones) for whatever they might have. Usually each store has 3-4 on the counter by the register.

Good luck, hope you find some good ones! Last trip, DS bought his first Star Wars Vinyl, and got Darth Vader...not sure if he was happier about that or being in Disney.

They also have the blind boxes for trading in Disney. They are numbered from 1-24 and you tell the cm which number you would like and then you swap your vinylmation for the one behind the number. I think they are supposed to allow you 3 to choose from but this has never happened to me. I only saw one of these boxes in Star Traders, other shops such as Lily's Boutique on Main Street and the shop in the DLH just have the see through boxes with 3 to choose from. I think you are only supposed to trade 3 a day but if you go to different shops I don't see how they enforce this.
Finally, when I was there the Toy Story blind boxes were €3 cheaper than the others. I had no problem trading a couple!

The character ones are the ones that take my facy the most, like the toy story ones or nightmare before christmas, they are cute!

CMs wear lanyards and you can trade with them. I also noticed some guests near Plaza Gardens with large pin boards. This was a weekday in April!

Does anyone know how much the vinlymation a are roughly in DLP?

Wondering how much to budget now to get me started

I think (if memory serves, and it might not...lol) they varied just a bit between the different ones (park Vinyls vs. character vs. series...etc) by a euro or two, but around 10-13€ each...I remember DS spending 12€ for a Star Wars one.
